That's what she said? Does that work here? Maybe like a herpes reference or something. Someone give me confirmation, cause this one has potential.

I was thinking the same thing I was waiting for the page to load saying to myself wow fuji is going to walk away with this one. I think that if everyone on ap.net had every apple in front of them fuji would win
I was looking at a list of apple cultivars and Honey Crisp stood out but I wasn't sure how widely available it is so I left it out of the poll. I too can't believe Granny Smith is winning. They taste great in pies (and maybe in candied apples), but I hate eating them raw. They're not good for eating.

If they are really as good as you say they are, I think it is the time that I try some. I think they have them at my grocery, so if they do, I'll grab some next time I'm there.

I only eat one type of apple, but, I never remember what it's called. They are the ones that are both red and green, softer and very sweet. They always smell apple-y too.

I think McIntosh fits that bill.

my dad owns a produce business. i've grown up with every kind of fruit and vegetable known to man shoved down my throat on a daily basis, and i must say agree with phil and shaft. Fuji's are known in the produce world as the cream of the crop when it comes to apples. They are basically the sweetest, softest apple you can find. Most people are drawn to the bright red washington apples....oh no, how those looks deceive. Fuji is where it's at. I must say though, Granny Smith's are nice is you are going to make a cobbler. The tartness kinda balances out the sweetness of the crust.

I like my apples to be crisp, though. So if Fuji apples are mushy or something, I'm not interested. Granny Smiths are good for cooking, candied apples, and nothing else.

I definitely lean towards Granny Smith, but any apple is good as long as it's crisp.
The dining hall here tends to have particularly soft apples, and it's really quite distressing when you're craving something with a good crunch.
I like the bitter taste of granny smith better than the sweet flavored apples in general as well.
sour apples are the best... all green and tasty... my is the first bite good.. oh wait,,, nevermind

Braeburn is the best, Fuji is second, Gala and Pink Lady are really good. I agree with the others, I can't stand Red Delicious.
