I'm debating whether or not to withdraw from my Psych class. I'm a freshman, and I don't know if I should stay in the class and hope to get at least a D. The class is based on 5 tests, and I haven't done well on the first two. I have to withdraw buy Nov. 3.

Can anyone give any advice?

Talk to the professor, go to office hours, and see if there is any extra work you can do. You may have bombed the first two, but there are still 3 more tests left. Talk to the professor, or an academic advisor.

If the class is a prerequisite to other classes, or require by your degree, then you should try to tough it out.

Is it general psych? I'm a psych major, if there's something you need clarifying you can send me pm if that will help.

I'm a business major, so I don't really need the class.

I had the same problem last year for my political science class. I withdrawed from the class only because if I got the D it would have fucked up my GPA. If you don't think that you are going to be able to do well on the tests I would suggest taking it over the summer or something when it may be easier. I mean when you withdraw it sucks since you lose the money, but it is much better than messing with your GPA.
Good luck.

I withdrew from frosh math. As long as you don't have too many of them , and it's not directly related to your major you should be fine.
