at least it seems they havent done what alot of other pop punk bands seem to do, which is try and produce an overly serious and less fun album.. and although i feel Brand New pulled this off well (the song title lengths on this seem to be pretty similar to Deja) alot of bands fail. I for one am excited for the CD and love the long song titles, especially song titles that have nothing to do with the song. A lot of bands do that...not just the few that were mentioned here. It's not a matter of "trying to" it's probably just some random joke during the recording process and it just stuck.

Don't fret so much about song titles. Some long ones are ok (Brand New...and probably this new fob too).

But short ones rock sometimes too...ie: "Almost Here" by the academy is..., has mostly 1 and two word titles.

It's the music that counts here

No, they are the same song. The other song they used to do live was "We Don't Take Hits, We Write Them." They changed the name of "Snitches and Talkers" to "MySpace Whore" a while back.

i actually like all those titles. it's not like they're just long and pointless, i think they're witty and amusing.

i liked the other titles that i guess didn't make it. something about bitches and stitches and then also the Myspace one was pretty funny.

It was only after Brand New's last record came out that so many bands started trying to imitate the style of their song titles, only badly.
i'm pretty sure people did that before Brand New. like, hasn't Bright Eyes been writing song titles like that for a while?..

It was never intended for the album, well not since it was leaked anyways. It was just an extra track that instead of trashing they put on the net for fans.

I have 5 of the songs.... and I am extremely disappointed. If these songs are any representation of the entire CD, then this is absolutely the biggest letdown of the year.

The song that they played live and were originally calling "Hand of God" (and sometimes "Down Down") is actually "Sugar, We're Going Down". The song floating around on the internet that is now titled "Hand of God (Worldcup 1986)" is just a demo that they didn't feel was good enough to be on the album. It can be heard on the upcoming Release the Bats DVD though.
