Ok, so some of you know that i am starting a clothing line. I might be able to print the first run of a design as soon as next week. But i want to ask you guys what you rather have.. quality or quantity.

To print shirts is kinda expensive and i want to do it the best way possible.

I am thinking of using american apparel (http://www.americanapparel.net) which is tailor fit, sweatshop free, soft comfortable shirts but cost more.

or

plain ol fruit of the loom shirts like most band shirts are on.. i can get more.. but the quality is less.

what would you rather have? and what size do you guys wear?

Would you ship to the uk?

Brandon Herbel
03/22/05, 01:56 PM
ok, so i am going to show you a sample..

now it says sample but that obviously won't be on the shirts..

also, with going with american apparel i will probably have to charge 20-25 shipping and handling included.. is that gonna be ok for everyone interested?

each shirt will come with a button and some other stuff too.

anyways, tell me what you think.

suggestions on placement on shirt would be nice too.

hXc_pwnage
03/22/05, 01:59 PM
How the hell do you design this stuff?

I like it. Really good job.

I think it would look cool on the back center of the shirt.

cruelty/sweatshop free is always good.

Make sure you have mediums.

sleepygrlgreen
03/22/05, 02:14 PM
quality is important. you don't want to buy a shirt and then wash it five or six times, only to realize that it's falling apart. i don't know what americal apparel is, so i can't really say, but again, low quality IS cheaper...dunno. i'm an L.

Louise Heng
03/22/05, 02:24 PM
that's a sweet design. i think it would look good on the back bottom righthand corner.

oh, and make sure you make a size S or XS so I can buy one.

Paul Tao
03/22/05, 02:25 PM
american apparel is the best.

size S

i dont really care much about the quality so in my case you could save money with fruit of the loom and id take a medium. 20-25 bucks for shipping is a bit pricey though

I really need to buy some new shirts. I don't have anything cool. lol. I need to get some shirts that are kinda emo looking, but aren't band shirts.

What is the difference with American Apparel shirts, are they tighter, but with more stretch or something. I have never had one, so I dont know what they are like. But I would definately buy that shirt, in YM or YL would be awesome.

Brandon Herbel

if you check out the site you can read the info on the stuff but basically its just better fit as in form fitting instead of wide ass shirts like most bands shirts and its made out of a really soft material and is just over all better made.

Candy_Warhol
03/22/05, 08:12 PM
are you going to make so-called 'girly shirts'?

03/22/05, 09:10 PM
good news.. i got some money in my account to do this.. first run will be a limited number.. probably less then 50 so they might sell fast. if you guys are seriously interested i will find out more in the next few days and post on here about when i will be getting them. I am gonna go with american apparel just cuz its better to have a soft nice high quality shirt then some regular ol shirt.. but after i figure out how much i am getting we can figure out the price but we are looking 20-25 for everything.. shirt and shipping and handling.

Brandon Herbel

yeah, i totally will ship to the uk. and its not that i am charging you 20-25ish for the shirt.. thats for the shirt and shipping and handling.. so basically.. if you bought it itn person it would be 17-20ish because of what its gonna be printed on.. and none of this is for sure on the price. we will know more when i get them printed.

haha, yeah dude, i'm not saying anything about anyone else buying them, i'd love to buy them, and shit if they were cheaper i so would, it's just that i'm 15, don't have a job, CAN'T get a job, and i don't have a ton of money. and i know there are alot of kids in the same situation.

oh, and that new shirt looks awesome. the first one is alright, but the second one is way sweet.

Wait, how are you doing that? Like...Are those just things you printed off your computer, and are like..iron pressing on or something? How does that work? I have a whole shitload of art for shirts I've done, I just have never looked into actually applying it. lol.

thats not actually how the shirt is being printed, he just used that as a way to do the artwork an then scans it in and fixes it all up before he sends it out to the printer.
