whats up, i'm wanting to learn how to play/purchase a nice synthesizer to persue music like Motion City Soundtrack, Hellogoodbye, Reggie and the full effect, etc etc... I have no experience in this area and i'm really just looking for some general direction

if you have any tips, nows the time 8)

Ya, my friend Rory bought one of those things. Pretty expensive. If you buy it, you better be serious about it.

Get a Moog....that's what MCS uses (and face it....they're the only one that really matters ;) )

although it looks like it's pronounced MOOg, i'm pretty sure it's just 'mode' but with a 'g'

and ya, dem shits are expensive!

i think i'm going to settle for an Alesis ION:

ive had my synth for a few years now was 400 pounds so like $800+ fucking love it

its a micro korg vocoder/synthesizer

I love synths/keyboards. I can almost play them. haha Roland is supposed to be the best brand, well up there with Moog.

my friend has a Korg Micro which is waht im geting too..its got a vocorder and some other neat stuff on it..its what James from Reggie uses

cool i got mine after seeing the reunion show few years back i really enjoyed there cd and there live show totally inspired me into playing synth
