it seems as pointless as people who last week (at least around here and supposedly nationally) did not talk all day to support pro life stuff. and i am pro life. but how the hell did someone not talking save these babies they care about????? it seems so stupid and pointless and all about "hey look at me! i am so caring and awesome! LOOK AT ME! you should think i am amazing. PRAISE ME!" seriously. wtf?

hundreds of young people kill themselves from depression or bi polar disorder, and a lot of these people dont know that there are numbers out there for them to talk to people
our countrys greatest ever football walked for 7 days up our coast to raise awareness and a hell of a lot of money to keep these phone lines open

Its a symbol for the baby who doesn't have a voice in the abortion argument, its not that absurd. But I do agree with the point that it doesn't actually pass legislation or solve anything. It just rallies the faithful and really pisses off anyone who disagrees with them.
