Last night at the New Found Glory (http://www.newfoundglory.com) show with Reggie and The Full Effect (http://www.reggieandthefulleffect.com) and Eisley (http://www.eisley.com), NFG said that the Back To Basics Tour will be their last tour for a long time because after these dates are over they will begin writing and recording for their next album.

i'm going to this show on friday...i heard that nfg is playing some old stuff ("nothing gold can stay"-era) can anyone confirm this and tell me what songs they're playing/what the setlist is like?

I'm pretty sure they've been saying that at all their shows ... I know they did in Nashville last week. Those boys deserve a break, they go pretty non-stop.

I like them....Self Titled and Nothing Gold Can Stay was a party for me though. Jordans voice is slowly getting to me. This will probably be one of the last times i see them live, this tour.
Are they going to be recording that reported Cover album along with their new material, or is that going to be a completely separate project somewhere else down the line?

Haha. You're insane. I'd take Ashlee Simpson over some of those bands. Maybe that's an exaggeration. I'm not entirely sure.

NFG's self titled is such a great album. "ballad for the lost romantics" is an awesome song. NFG kicks ass, teeny boppers or not.

were any of the other shows like the one i went to??....it didnt sell out and i would say there were about 750 people there....i was surprised for a NFG show considering all the kids that listen to them, and the parents that are drug out to shows by their kids

i've always enjoyed NFG, but I liked them more when they didn't take themself as serious. Live i think they are a really fun band. I'm seeing them this saturday
and i usually don't like to step on toes around here but why would you come to a thread of a band that you don't like just to bash them? i mean does that mean that for every band that i don't like and there is a thread for them I should just go in there and bash them? that means half the threads here would be full of me saying i think this band is very untalented and i wouldn't pay a cent to see them. if you have a negative opinion keep it to yourself and let the people who enjoy the music talk without you coming in and making generic hate statements about a band.

Ok well NFG was one of the first bands of that genre that i bought......way back. There earlier stuff was amazing....But after Catalyst and a long week of stopping my ears bleed....i cant get excited about a new cd anymore

A mention of Wheatus yes I remember them hell I even still have there CD "Teenage Dirtbag" was like the anthem my Freshman year in College that song was so cool. as for NFG the appeal has kinda dropped off. I saw them at like Warped 2002 on the main stage in LA in front of like 15,000 people and that was fucking cool. I was right up front singing along. Now they are playing clubs and I kinda want to go. For Seattle people they have added a third show at El Corazon on the 25th of April.

screw the haters... i have and always will love and support NFG. i loved the new cd. much better than self titled and sticks and stones. but nothing can beat NGCS. hopefully im going to see them next thursday. i havent seen them since 2001 with blink.

that blink tour was one of my favorites. actually got to meet nfg,blink,alkaline trio, and mest that night thanks to a lesser known band at the time who ill leave nameless outta shame that i actually knew them and liked them...but yea. that was a great show

NFG was the first pop punk band I got into after Green Day. NFG was my favorite band for a few years...then I realized there are bands so much better than they are. I still like NFG, I always will. I still have all of their CDs and I will buy this one. Too bad they sucked so bad when I saw them with Green Day and Sugarcult last October. Jordan dropped the mic and sounded like he was sick or something. He was also out of breath throughout most of the concert. Everyone else was awesome though. They were so much better when I saw them at Warped Tour in 2002. Good times...

i dont know about evilbutters but i know it took me a long time to get into blink. actually it was that same tour, cuz i just wasnt into hearing them sing about some of the immature stuff they sang about. now i appriciate it more, but it took a while. so blink is a hard one to be all about in that respect. green day is the same way kinda. although i did like them from the start. eh now im just rambling ill stop now

I'm a huge Blink fan. I never really got into them until I picked up Take Off Your Pants and Jacket though and then I went backwards and got the rest of their CDs. NFG was the first band I really got into after Green Day.

I must go to Back To Basics tour after hearing this. Last time I saw NFG was in June at a radio festival. I had to miss them with Green Day and Sugarcult because my family just HAD to go away to L.A. for Thanksgiving break. I'm definitely not missing this show. Got my ticket, now I just gotta tell my dad the teachers are off the day of the show and the day after making him think there's no school... this will be fun.
