So, here's my problem, my school scheduled prom for the same night as: Underoath, Hopesfall, Fear before the march of flames, and the chariot.

So if i go to the show, i could still possibly get into afterprom but its not for sure.

So should i go to the glorious concert or prom?

Good plan. I didn't go to the prom the first chance I had (we had junior and senior combined prom) and just went to the party and let me tell you the party is more fun than the prom.

If it were Underoath or Hopesfall from years ago, I'd say skip out on prom and go to the show, but sadly both bands suck now, and so does Fear Before The March Of Flames, so, really, there is only one good band playing, which isn't really worth it.

Yes, but they don't play any of their old songs at the shows? I thought Hopesfall still would do the Bending or April Left With, and if Underoath would do when the sun sleeps I would be happy

but yet, I might take that into consideration and still head to prom instead...

haha, I didn't actually read the thread before I voted, I thought prom was a band I hadn't heard of. but fuck yeah, definately go to prom unless ofcourse you're kind of a loner. if you sat at home and ONLY listened to music though highschool all by yourself, go to the concert, otherwise, go to an amazing party and see all the ladies dress up super hot, see everyone for the last time and say goodbye, theres plenty of concerts out there, ...

Ha, I'm probably going to go to Prom, my debate was due to the fact that I went last year, and am going again next year.

And I'm going to the parties afterwards eitherways.

We don't have proms in Blighty, we just have "disco's" so basing my decision on the fact I have never been to a prom I'd say underoath, as disco's suck, maybe if I'd been to a prom I'd say go there, I'll be quiet now

I skipped out on my sophomore formal to go to a show. But it was different because it was sophomore year and a lot of my friends didn't go so it wasn't like I was missing much..

But I would probably go to Junior Prom. It's a bigger deal. They'll be other shows. Your own Junior Prom only comes around once.

And the people who haven't attended prom, because of choice, or because of age, or whatever, can't really have an input on this. If they are basing their choice off of the shitty school dances, just know, that prom is alot different. In my opinion. I had an awesome time both years, and like someone else said, it only happens once. So again, go to prom.
