OCTOBER 25 The Early November TRIPLE CD!

Originally due out in August. Dammit.

Instead of saying something like Summer '05, just say 2005. That way I won't get my hopes up.

i'm sure if you look for 5 seconds there's a DTR haters message board somewhere out there. why don't you stick to that.

i on the other hand, am only worried about one thing: a 3 disc release of The Early November.

I'll probably die happy once I hear it.

What The Fuck Is A Triple Cd!?!? I Have Heard It All This Time But I Have No Idea What It Is.
Know how Outkast released a double-disc called "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" ? Well, a triple-disc is one "CD" that amounts to three CDs, thus a triple-disc.

I say we start a pool betting on how many of these releases will actually come out on their scheduled date.

I will give them credit and say 3.

Rx Bandits are recording in May. This is where?
And I like how Jenoah has all but disappeared from D-T's collective imaginations. That EP didn't get half the distro Hellogoodbye's did...if they dropped them already it'd be nice to be told.

they didnt drop them...after lucky left (they kicked him out, whatever the story is etc..) they had to write all new shit, and according to them, dtr doesn't really like the direction they're heading. They made a statement when they went on rossstar about two months ago about how is any label wanted them, they would talk. I don't know if they're actually going to leave or what, but that's just what I've heard.

You people are fucking pathetic! Some of you are moaning at the fact that E11 have pushed their album back 2 months. I knew this would happen anyway since it's Drive-Thru, and since their split with Geffen, they can't run the company good to save their life. But the fact that E11 are releasing a triple CD for everyone, and they get repaid by moaning junkies is ridiculous

Because you most obviously know exactly how they run the company, what decisions are made, etc etc. Of course. And let me guess -- you could run it better too, right? Isn't that what everyone says?

I'm interested in most of those releases, especially Allister, mostly because of the new song on the comp and the fact that its coming out in summer and could be a good summer pop rock disc.

It's weird; their line-up took a big hit when their co-songwriter/guitarist Lucky left. Apparently, Jenoah decided that they weren't going to play any of the songs that he helped write, which happens to be the five that are on the EP. So it seems as if they're becoming a completely different band. I would be surprised if DTR had dropped them for that fact, but maybe Drive Thru heard some new stuff and just wasn't behind them 100%. I loved the EP, though it took me a few listens until I really got into it.

The Starting Line is on Geffen now.

thats confusing. isn't starting line still on Driv-Thru? I mean Drive-Thru is just an off shoot of Geffen correct? I mean Are NFG, TSL, and SoCo all off of Drive-Thru?

drive thru was just an offshoot of geffen, but they split. pretty much, all of the really big bands that were dtr are now geffen.

Im looking forward to the Houston Calls and Halifax but the rest I think I will most likely pass. As for the guy that asked above NFG, SoCo and I think Finch and the Starting Line are now on Geffen. Drive Thru didnt really know what they got themselves into so they lost those bands and somehow Senses Fail landed on Vagrant.

BUT look at this list. it probably triples last years release list. and this year we have already gotten HIPV and Halifax -reissue.

thats all i can think of right now

Um, they aren't in charge of it but they surely have a say in it and have a lot to do with it. You think Drive-Thru actually wants to let their material sit there on the shelf and then when they put it out have a lot fewer people excited for it because it took too long, thus making less profit for Drive-Thru? No. Drive-Thru has smart people in charge that know you can't sell a lot of something if people don't want it. The high point for Adelphi came six months ago and they really need to get this out before everyone says "oh yeah, wait, are these the 'Attention' guys?" Adelphi and Drive-Thru need to get their collective shit together and get this thing out for both of their benefits.

exactly.

I FUCKING CALLED THAT ONE, GUYS.

Since January I've been saying to my friends "Hey guys, wouldn't it be neat if Socratic's CD came out on my birthday?"

Now do the math, DTR is never on time with their releases and my birthday is September 20....

Fuck, I'm stoked.

I've heard their new shit and it's fucking incredible.

New shit besides Funeral Masses and I Am the Doctor?

If so, please share. Unless you mean you heard it live, in which case I did too and I agree for as much as I could hear (the sound at the venue wasn't very good).

And I too will bet that Socratic's will be Drive-Thru's best release this year, if not one of the best overall releases of the year.

Ryan, its not that I wouldn't pay to see you guys, but the tour as an entire package just seems kind of boring to me. I wouldn't go see an entire show just for one band I kind of like, and yes, DIS is worth my money.
And if you don't have some say in when and how your album gets put out, maybe you should've been more careful in negotiating your contract.
