I would like to state that I did not even plan on going to this show. And dont forget IM NOT A PROFESSIONAL REVIEWER.

I found out i won tickets from Vans and Meet and Greet with Forever the Sickest Kids so i had to go.
I got there at 3:45 and there was already about 50 people (at the max) waiting to get it.
I had to wait til the Vans RV was ready so i went up on the Balcony to watch Cobra Starship do their Soundcheck,
Gabe was saying some weird things :/ haha
I got to hang with FTSK and eat hamburgers and get things sign all that jazz.
The guys were cool, and gave us the cd too.
Right after the meet and greet was done i got into the show.

The first band Sing It Loud, IMO were pretty damm good. They reminded me of TAI... and another band that i can remember but sadly not the name. They had alot of Energy. Probally since it was their first show ever in Los Angeles. I hope they get big like they deserve to be.

Hit the Lights were next. I think something was up with the singer's mic or something because i could not hear a single thing he was saying. I personally love the drummer's kit. If he ever sold it, i would love to buy it off of him. The crowd was into this band, so their energy rubbed off on me and i got all into this band too. they were damm good.

The band that gave me the tickets, Forever The Sickest Kids were next. I am not sure why there are so many people that do not like them on AP.net, because IMO they are pretty damm good. They have a big stage presence, and sure know how to get a crowd into a show. I believe (please correct me if i am wrong) they only have one cd and it contains old songs from the EP so none of the songs came out of left field. They also played Men In Black from that one Punk Goes Crunk Cd.

The band that everyone else came to see, Cobra Starship was up and the place erupted. I am not sure if i mencioned this before but the ratio of girls to guys was 5:1 ( haha aquabats lyric) literally. I like going to see Cobra (ive seen em once before) because I know a Good Majority of the songs and i love to sing along. My personal favorites of the show were "Guilty Pleasure", "Scandelous", and "Smile for the Paparazzi". Overall the show was great, and Cobra really ended it with a high note. And Pete Wentz was there.

Wow. I really dont know what to say. This is awful. How can you think that a band that writes songs that were written 10 years ago are good??? What the fuck.

I really dont understand this bullshit. Its like these days, all you have to do to be a "Good Musician" is write a song consisting of nothing but power chords, high leads, and retarded meaningless generic lyrics drowned out by "WHOA WHOA WHOAAA". What the fuck.

I dont understand this. And I know basically ever that will read this will be offended and disagree, but someone needs to stand up and say something.

Music isnt a fashion. Its an art. Thats what none of these bands understand. Fuck.

it was a good show.
i love to listen to all types of music dude.
give or take a few genres that i am not a fan of.
and im not offended.
i almost 100 Percent agree with you.
music is a art.
but it can be a fashion as well.
think of all the 80s bands that had tons of fans back then.
some of those bands were just fads that died out.
but does that mean you cannot have fun with them before?

Stop hitting the enter key after every sentance and learn to type like a normal fucking person, this is not your MySpace about me section.

And as much as I'm in to fashion and clothes -- music is not a fucking fashion statement and someone who thinks it "can be" is a fucking moron.

Agreed. Music is not a fashion... At all. Its people that make it a fashion that ruin the music scene all together.

jeeze.
why is there so much hate on this site. There are many different scene in the music world.
so are used as fashion statements. calling me a fucking moron.
Using it as a fashion statement can be the only way for bands to get their music out to a broader audience. And think you really think that FTSK are going to be around forever? which proves that Music can be a Fad because like Fads, different types of music (genres, Bands, Etc) die and get flushed out for the "next Big Thing"

Using a "fashion statement" to get your band out there to a broder audience is not a good thing and if you really do think it's okay you are a fucking moron. There is so much "hate" on this because bands like this are a dime a dozen, they come and go quickly. They dress a certain way and make them selves excessable only for the fame, they are not in the music for the right reasons and one look at them, the style of music they play and the current "scene" you know that. It's sad.

i never said its ok.

im suporting peopel who dont give a shit about the music scene.
damm... i guess i gotta be less open to music that hurts the scene....
but at least 3 of the six guys were cool and talked about stuff other then themselves

Sing Out Loud should be Sing It Loud

Good review. I wish I had went when the tour was around here. And damn you for meeting FTSK. That would've been so amazing!

On the "music is an art" discussion/arguement, I agree with the fact that bands come and go, and that a lot of those bands don't deserve to be big. Personally, I like Cobra Starship, but at the same time I love bands such as The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rush, Queen, etc. TRUE artists. Bands now seem to be a lot like fads. They come and go, and a few good ones stick around. I sometimes wonder who will be the "Keith Moon" or the "Kurt Cobain" of our time.

hmm idk but i think if you count Dave Groul, i think he would be a good choice.
I mean look at Foo Fighters. They have accomplished so much.

Why does it seem all the people who actually appreciate music for what it is are the biggest haters. I dont know about the rest of you, but i go to shows to have fun, not to sit in the back and appreciate how artistic the guitarist is and all that other bs people base their stupid opinions on. If you dont have fun listening to the music other people are listening to, listen to different music.

TSTLSOOM

Dave Groul... no.

i was talking to someone about that earlier at school.
I was convinced that he couldnt because my friend made a valid point: without the Lore of Nirvana, Foo Fighters wouldnt be the same.
