I was in a band for a little while and it fell through. Between that, school, working, and maintaning a relationship with my girlfriend who's 100 miles away six days a week I haven't had much time for the computer. But I'm making a comback. I'm glad somebody noticed.

50 does have a lot of horrible, horrible songs (this being one of them), but I do think he is a decent rapper at times. He has a pretty good flow in some songs.

True, but I happen to think of it on a psychological level. Yeah, porn can be degrading, in many, many ways, but it is also a media that people try and understand their own sexual wants and needs through. I think that, in a way, it almost gives you a license to say something, as you know what is degrading.
Just like anything else, music like this can be stopped.

You would even have to admit that Will Smith coming back with his album is possibly the best thing to happen in awhile. At least most of the time he either has something to say or he just makes songs you can have fun to. No one has to die or be called a "bitch" through the entire track.

I hate rap. And most people who defend rap say the same thing: "Mainstream sucks! And you probably used to listen to rap!" You need to realize that people change. I also used to watch Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles. Now the new Ninja Turtles arent even close to as cool as the old ones and the new Power Rangers just completed the entire rainbow. I used to like rap but when all these new rappers decided to fuck every hoe and roll on 20s to every club with their crunk juice it kills the music to me. You could hate on me all you want but whatever you say wont change the way I view rap.
Well, have you even paid attention to some of the lesser known artists, such as AWOL One or Talib Kweli? Rap didn't become bad; I don't think it ever really was bad. Ive never gotten into underground rap because im not exposed to it. The rap scene in my town is very small and the underground punk scene is huge. I just dont feel the need for rap in my music selection. I dont have any urge at all to look into the scene as well. bash me all you want, but like i said its not going to change my opinion. Im perfectly happy with the local underground music that i listen to.
I don't bash. I just express my thoughts with a passion. Btw, do you happen to look at any other genre, besides this huge underground punk scene? I think I share the sentiments of a large group when I say that, if you're just looking at one genre, you are seriously missing out on the great music that's out there.
no i enjoy just about all genres of rock music. i like punk, metal, emo, screamo, indie-rock, reggae, alternative, grunge... i just dont like rap. im not the only one. the beat and sound of rap is just not the type of music i enjoy. im not saying rappers arent talented. i know it takes talent because i couldnt rap if my life depended on it. i just dont enjoy listening to it.
