Halifax Starts Pre-Production; And The Producer Is...

Halifax (http://www.halifaxrock.com) has started preproduction today with producer Lou Giordano (Taking Back Sunday, Ataris, Sunny Day Real Estate) for the upcoming full length album scheduled for an August release date on Drive-Thru Records.

Halifax is such an amazing band and they rock live. I saw them in Delaware this past saturday, although the crowd was not into it too much and they played such a short set, I still love them. Halifax will control your mind one day...beware biatches. :animateds

Really digging the newer Halifax stuff. Their last full length (Start Back At Start) gets kind of boring...but the EP is pretty rockin. I'm really looking forward to this album, reguardless of who produces it.

yea i mean lou giordano has a tendency to over produce bands a lot more than they need to be... for example with taking back sunday's "where you want to be"... not many were fans of the production on this record and i myself was one of them. he made fred's voice far too polished and that took away from the dueling vocals of the two singer system that tbs is accustomed to.. basically im just not a fan of his...

Why are all you hung up on the laser sounds? Whenever someone doesn't like something about a song they blame the producer. Did you ever think it could have been the band's idea? They write the songs. Jared, I predict you'll hate the ASL record, the Waking Ashland record and the Halifax record because you want to even before you hear it. Go do something productive and stop feeling sorry for yourself and crying about how you aren't cool enough with your baggy pants and short hair, it's getting old. What Heath means is, that ISNT Halifax, all but 2 of the members are different(Mike and Chris) and they've changed a lot. He's saying don't even bother with that, it's not Halifax. and besides, it's out of print.

yes, it is good, but it has no relevance to Halifax anymore as the entire band has changed and they've become pretty different.

They stopped putting it out because after they released it some band members left, and i guess they wanted to start over
