Hmm... Interesting opinion.

I think Anberlin is a great record but I really haven't given it much spin lately. I think I kind of grew tired of it. This Mae disc is great, but I still have a few problems with it here and there. It just doesn't have (to me) the staying power as Destination: Beautiful when I finally got into that. Maybe I'll get more into this in due time. In my opinion, Motion City Soundtrack, The Spill Canvas (and I'm only refering to the demos) and Gatsby's American Dream are duking it out for top album this far into the year. Let's not forget about Days Away either.

This is a great album, but not number one of 2005. That belongs to MCS. GAD, Alk3, Acceptance, and The Academy Is are also very good. But Fall Out Boy and Thrice will be up there too! This has been said many times, but this year for music is so badass. :animateds

Before I answer, people should go check their Best Buy right now to see if they have it out. I went there on Saturday and I saw a copy on the rack and one on the counter by the cash register that I guess someone decided not to buy.

Anyway, to answer your question, that's kind of tough because even though they are in the ad I don't think they've been getting any radio play. This is so just a guesstimate. I think they could do 25-35,000. That's probably a horrorific guess, but that's my final answer.

Yes, Mae is the shit. I think this blows Destination: Beautiful out of the water because it shows their ability to put a little more rock in their music. Destination: Beautiful was a beautiful cd that i could always let myself fall asleep to, but this cd is an amazing driving cd. This is up there with MCS and GAD and Acceptance for my favorite cd of the year. Also, Slade, I worship you.

and i think Motion City, Copeland, Acceptance, and Kaddisfly have all put out better albums than the Everglow...

but i love[d] the Everglow. on first listen i thought it was incredible, but there was just something about it to me didnt offer a long staying power. there's still a few songs i spin or put into mixes, but the album overall wasnt quite strong enough for me. i think Desitnation: Beauitful was better.

I can't find the original post now, but when you open the cd with iTunes you have two options for song titles. One set are the real titles and the other are things like "Produced to Death" and "Norfolk is for Losers." It's really weird. I haven't seen anything like it before.
