Beauty and the Beast should be higher. We should just all name our top 10. I'm going to think about this.
Kung Fu Panda better than The Jungle Book, Akira, Bambi, Cinderella, and The Rescuers? Yeah.... ABOUT THAT!
So fucking dumb.
Beauty and the Beast should be higher. We should just all name our top 10. I'm going to think about this.
That's a good idea, I'm going to do the same...

Finding Nemo might be the most overrated movie of all time.
Lion King and Aladdin should be higher.
Loved Wall-E but it should be lower until it stands the test of time some.
Nightmare Before Christmas should be higher in the top 10.
Respect for South Park making the list.
Not that I expected it, but Ninja Scroll being on there would have been cool. Same goes for Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell.

I really agree with most of the list, besides the under representation of Studio Ghibli and Antz being at 21. I freaking love animation. I want to make sure I've seen all 50 of them.

But Cowboy Bebop is a show?

But Cowboy Bebop is a show?
The movie surpasses the show.
This list goes by rating, not by someone picking them. There are some titles I think should not have been on there. IE: Paprika.

no ice age?
what a terrible list. those idiots over at Rotten Tomatoes really know nothing.

hahaha are you guys insane...
no one bashed or cared the fact that Toy Story 2? was #1!!!!! WHAT!!? the best animated feature of all-time was a sequel.....thats ridiculous by so many points. I saw toy story 2, and i dont even remember what it was about. Seriously ridiculous.

plus you need to take many things into account here when rating the best animated films.....
- a movie like Little Mermaid and Beauty and the beast or even Lion King needs more respect as all these movies, especially the little mermaid basically saved the animated department for disney.
- watership down isnt getting the love because of its obscurity, but truly an amazing feature.
- i agree on wall-e actually.
- shrek should be higher for its economic success
- and chicken run at 8 needs to be reconsidered.
but I dont mind the list that much, other than Toy story 2 being the best movie all time...
and no american tail or bee movie? hmmmm

Did you even read your thoughts before you typed them out?
This isn't about economic success or historical importance, it's about which animated movie had the highest percentage of positive reviews overall. It isn't subjective, besides its quantifying of subjective reviews. The Rotten Tomatoes staff didn't put together this list short of actually going through and finding out which had the best overall collection of reviews.
The point is, no one dislikes Toy Story 2. It's freaking impossible to dislike. Thus, it had the highest percentage. Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Chicken Run, though, that really did not stand the test of time well. Hell, it wasn't all that when it came out to begin with.
NO ANASTASIA?
I am actually outraged right now!
Lion King should be one. Also, Titan AE should be up there.

Where the fuck is Titan A.E.?!
No Great Mouse Detective:-(
No Brave Little Toaster, no care.
The Lion King should definitely be in the top 5. That list is crazy.
Ugh yes. This list is garbage.
There are some really great movies on the list, but the ordering makes no sense at all! Antz above A Bug's Life? And if you're going to put a Wallace and Gromit movie, it has to be The Wrong Trousers! And Chicken Run above Lion King?!?!
Although I am glad to see James and The Giant Peach on there.

No Titan AE?
This is list is also missing Hercules and The Secret Of Nimh.
I have to stop looking at this list, it's just making me angry.

Beauty and the Beast should be way way higher. Also, as some of you said, Toy Story > Toy Story 2
Persepolis is in the top 20? I've never even heard of it.
Disappointed in no Brave Little Toaster and (The) Prince of Egypt
How could I forget the Prince of Egypt? That movie is beautiful.
It's been so long since I saw that movie. I think my favourite that's missing from that list is Disney's Robin Hood.
No Fern Gully or the Land Before Time, no care.
Three other good ones.

I'd say top 5. Wait. Was WALL-E #3? If so, then top 3, yeah. Switch those two. And I totally agree with GOTF. That's such an underrated movie that should be on here.
