"Priceless"??

You can have your preference in bands and genres, but to call someone getting punched in the head priceless? What a douche bag.

That's so rude and stupid. Human stupidity has no limits. 'I hate MCR... so I'm going to go and punch out their lead singer!'. Ugh.

Well actually I've heard Gerard say "Don't like me? Come punch me out you mofos!!' numerous times on stage. So someone decided to take him up on that.

Gerard Way owns, he's one of the nicest guys in a band I met. Love him.

A night in Fucking jail!" and then they went on to play, "You know what the do to guys like us in prison" I guess somebody did mangae to get up on stage and I'm sure he got that night in jail... He's this guy who goes to shows here in Chicago who is like 6'4'', at least, and he gets up in the middle of the floor and just holds his huge thumb up in the air for the whole show.

Pretty much. By the end of the show everyone is pretty much mocking him by holding thier thumbs up...but that's probably what he wanted to happen...so we all lose.

at the show in saskatoon Gererd challenged someone to come up on stage and try and take him out, so during the song a guy flew up on stage and caught a piece of Gerard, but was soon taken off stage and thrown outside without his shirt on.......i say if he says that shit he's fair game even though i dig MCR

Thumbs up guy? Neat. I bet his hands are pretty numb by the end of the night.

That reminds me of this kid here named Chris, he had a Curious George shirt on, and for the 2003 Civic Tour (New Found Glory, GC, Less Than Jake) he thumb wrestled his way to the front of the line. He'd be like "If I win I get to bud you!!" and he'd always win.

I miss him. :(

OK at the show Gerard DID say to come up and hit him, so the guy did. He deserved it because he SAID to do it. But then MCR's jock-core roadies took the guy to the side of the stage and beat him up. What a bunch of douches.

I think it's safe for Gerard to tell us all now "I'm not okay I promise".
Funny thing to read, specially since he challenged the guy, challenge someone and then get punched. It sucks for him, love MCR anyways.

Why should he have waved off the security guards?

Part of what he said was IF you can make it on stage. But seriously, its an intro into their song (as someone stated.)

People suck. I saw Incubus like 2-3 years ago, and Brandon was at the edge of the stage singing for the encore, and someone nailed him in the head with a shoe. His eyes were closed, and he just got nailed. Not Cool.

That was in Sacramento, for a second I thought this was, cause it said yesterday, which would have been 3/29, which would have been Sacto. And then I could insult my hometown fans some more. But oh well.

Yeah he did that here in Omaha too. Guess he never probably expected someone to do so. Also I guess the 'shirtless dude' didn't listen to the "and win a great prize....a night in fucking jail" disclaimer at the end of the invitation.

As for your guys 'thumbs up" dude in Chicago. We have a few characters here in Omaha that are almost as popular as some of the local bands. We have two twin sisters who at one time were convinced that they looked like Christina Aguilera and insisted on being called the Aguilera twins. They were terribly loose band sluts for anything that knew how to hold a stick or a bass. They eventually became known as "the whore twins" and now seem proud of that.

The other prominent character would be a guy named Lunchbox Benny who used to follow around a horrible local rap/rock band called NoiseWavE and he always carried one of those metallic lunch boxes to any show he went to. He would leave it unattended sometime but no one ever thought to dare touch it because everyone was afraid of the wierdo. Still to this day no one has ever seen inside his lunchbox to know whats inside. We all assume its drugs but its never been confirmed..

If you are feeling really bold and daring check out the hacks in NoizewavE's website and listen to some of the crappiest crap that ever crapped....music wise.

03/30/05, 09:51 PM
yea. he was daring the whole crowd to come up on stage, get through all the security and punch him if they had a problem with him or something. i'm sorry but if at every date of the tour, you stand up on stage and dare someone to punch you, sooner or later it's gonna happen. and yes it would have been stupid if someone just randomly punched him, but he was asking for it, and i guess he didn't think it was going to happen....but it did.

For the record, the show the night after San Jose in Sacramento, Gerard didn't do his usual spiel of "come up and hit me like a man if you hate me" and it's obvious because of what happened in San Jose. I went to both shows. I'm also going to San Diego, for the record.

Listen dumb people... He CHALLENGED the crowd to do it... meaning, HE GAVE HIM PERMISSION, There are a lot of people out there that do what they are told... If he told a girl to light herself on fire, she probabally would because he has that power, because hes in a big band. People do stupid things, stop bitching about it.
