ahh i interviewed james last week
it was awesome. he was definitely very cool.

if you ask him about 'the drunk girl at the get up kids show' he'll tell you her name is amy, and all kinds of interesting stories about her.
so ask about that.

haha. reggie came up at the NYC and then went "common denominator is up next" and some girl was all serious and she was like "what? another band? when is reggie going on" and i was just cracking up.

Questions for Reggie:
What prompted the change in tone in the new Reggie album? With only one "joke" song, is Reggie moving more towards a "serious" approach? Can we expect the costumed shows to stop? Does this go hand in hand with "the cat being out of the bag" and him wanting to go by James now?

Can we expect to see any or more of James on the next New Found Glory record?

Is Reggie and the Full Effect going to be coming James's full-time band? If so, will we see Reggie having a set and concrete line-up?

Also, be sure to tell him that The Gentleman's Club in Charlotte is 21+, but thanks anyway.

when is he going to do a headlining tour in the states?
originally this was going to happen this summer, but now that there's the get up kids farewell tour, james is likely going to do a late summer/fall headlining tour.

Questions for Reggie:

haha i guess i can answer some of these too.

from what i've read and heard him say, it's all about maturing as a musician. look at how much the get up kids have changed with their music styles, same goes for reggie. when he did the first album, it was pretty much a joke, now with this fourth release, he's a lot older and wants to put some serious music out there. I know for a fact the costumed shows will never stop, he fucking loves that, and the whole thing of being called reggie or james or paco...it just got old to keep that going. Doesn't mean any huge changes with him.
With the get up kids ending, reggie will become his full-time band, the concrete line-up is still in the air. he's always liked to just use whoever he's got and let them expierence what it's like to play with reggie. but who knows. it's not like the pope brothers can play with him because they're the rhythm section for Koufax now.

ask why he decided to go to Europe with what was previously a side project and not do a more extensive goodbye tour with the TGUK. I would think they would hit up every market they could...but 4 shows on the West Coast...and they are all in California?! There could have at least been 1 show in the Vancoover/Seattle/Portland area...instead of 3 shows in the SoCal area...

I second Fluxuation and Common Denominator having their own CDs. Even as EPs.

coalesce do some sweet led zepplin covers and they did a reunion tour 3 or so years ago. i heard it was horrible atleast the philly date cause it was coalesce at the TLA.

Is Reggie going to be his only project after the Get Up Kids are officially through, or is he going to dabble in other things i.e side bands, New Found Glory, maybe techinical stuff...whatever.

Are any new stories, characters or alias ever going to exist...or is that pretty much over. I know he'll still be doing his stageshow thing, but will it pretty much stay that way, with CD, Hungary Bear, etc. or are there new things to come?
