i know this is going to come off as an incredibly stupid question to some but i've been debating lately about selling my wii system... i used to have a 360, it broke and i sent it away to be fixed, upon it returning it broke a few months later. it has now come time to purchase a new one now that the prices are much lower and they've fixed all the bugs and what not. i miss fucking call of duty 4 online so much it hurts. but as for the wii, it just sits there after i've beaten zelda... it makes me sad to waste it but i've had offers to buy it from me and i've been debating selling it and using money towards a new 360. oh and if anybody knows whether or not you can just buy the cheapest 360 and replace they hard drive with my old one to make it work let me know please? that would be amazingly cheaper...

I have a 360 now and my roommate has a Wii. We never play the Wii but he plays my 360 and I play it almost everyday. Wii is overrated in my opinion.
Not sure how much you'll get for it used though.

YES!
Gimmicky piece of shit, i want to sell mine.
i can only name less than 10 games that are worth playing compared to the great library of the 360

I haven't turned on my Wii since I got my PS3 in June. Wii is cool but is nowhere near as cool as a PS3/360.

I just bought a 360 a month ago and haven't touched my wii since. I'd sell it if my mom wasn't a mariokart addict.

You could do that thing with your hard drive, but I'd spend the extra $100 and get a 60GB model.

As much as it pains me to say, yeah you might want to sell your Wii.

Get a new 360. There are some amazing games coming out right now, and unfortunately, the Wii doesn't really have anything promising on the horizon.

I sold my used Wii, Wii Fit, and some games for $450. I'd expect prices to go up even higher as Christmas comes. I don't regret it since it just kind of sat there.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my Wii too...the only game coming out that I want is the re-make of Punchout and I guess the new Zelda whenever it comes out (Zelda is pretty much the only reason I bought a gamecube haha).
My Wii gets very little use and I'm pretty tired of me buying into Nintendo's crap....they just re-make or bring back old ideas and games and sell a shit load of copies.....genius really, and they won this generation in terms of sales, but in terms of play time my 360 owns it haha
Who am I kidding...I wont get rid of it because Zelda is awesome and I still have that to look forward to haha

Have you seen previews for Mad World?

I haven't played my Wii at all since I beat Mario Galaxy, I'm hoping that nintendo can create a revolutionary Zelda game that actually USES the wiimote for a sword, instead of having to swing my wrist a little to pull/swing the sword.
Odds are it'll probably turn out like Dragon Quest Swords, and be a horrible spin-off of a great series.

I had a Wii, took me forever to find one. But eventually, it just started to collect dust on my shelf, I never played it. I traded it in and got a 360 instead, and I play my 360 all the time. Better system in my opinion with a better variety of games.

I sold mine last Christmas. It's awesome. Sold the system by itself for 350 bucks. 5 games, 40 bucks each. The thing's a freaking resale goldmine.

I keep my Wii simply for any future first-party games. 360 is a far better console.

tj i sold mine, i did it! it was worth it man, it just sat there and collected dust until i wanted to play zelda on it... so my solution was to sell it, hit the r kelly hard and then play some zelda on my 64! great success!

I sold mine earlier last month I had it for 6 months. I bought it because I figured most of the 3rd party games would be coming out for it like Madden, come to find out they all have the motion-sensoring function prominent so it's pointless. I also bought it for the Virtual Console because I love the old games, then I realized that I can beat the old games in 1-3 hours. The Wii is fun for children but not for serious gamers

i got wii on its launch date, barely played it.
then february this year i sold it for $350 with another controller and a couple games and bought a 360.
and with 360, i play games everyday.
wii is just too boring. its all multiplayer games
plus 360 just had fallout 3, gears 2, dead space, silent hill origins and fable 2 released.
so yes, sell it. i never had any regrets about it.

Question, the 360 arcade costs 200 and then for 300 you can get the one with hard drive and headset. Which one should I get? I've heard without the hard drive I can't play live, is this true cause if so I'll definitely get the one w/ the hard drive? However if I can just get the arcade for 200 and fork over like 20-30 bucks for a headset and still play live I'll get that.
thanks for any and all help

this guy knows whats up.
i think it comes down to whether or not you have a good time playing it. of course 360 is an amazing system, but if i feel like if i got one soooo much of my time would be gone, and i'm in grad school so its tough to find time to play video games anyway. i think wii has more pick up and play games. you can play for an hour without getting too wrapped up (i have to tear myself away from zelda however). for me personally, wii is a better call, but denying the superiority of 360 is just idiotic. its just not for me though. don't sell dude.

Yeah you definitely need the hard drive to play Live, that's how they get you

Wii is extremely overrated. You play it for a few weeks, and then after all the games suck because of the controller setup, and you're actually getting physical activity, you just realize it's not fucking worth it.

Wii games are lacking. But I wouldn't sell it seeing as Monster Hunter is coming out soon.
