This (http://s34.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=373KCXAWLAM6118S3QJU61N7B X) website has the new trailer for the Initial D movie that's coming out in Taiwan this August. It looks pretty sweet.

I'm not a big fan of Initial D.

I think the drifting is cool.

The anime I thought sucked, but the manga was alright. I was interested during the first couple of volumes but I lost interest in it. I think a live action Initial D would be neat.

I've only seen the first three episodes of the anime but its pretty decent. The only thing I don't like about it is the "new" music Tokyopop added. Everytime I heard one of those songs come up I had to switch to the Japanese version very quickly. The manga is pretty good although I just check it out of the library anyway.

what is the difference between manga and anime? I know nothing about any of these things.

"Manga" is the Japanese word for comic books and is usually in black and white. "Anime" is short for animation. Basically anything animated is anime even if its not Japanese but America just likes to classify things that way. Same thing with manga.

Hm. Gotcha.
I know nothing about anime honestly. I watched Akira once, thought it was kinda cool. That's about the extent of my exposure to the whole thing. Sometimes I think I should check something out, but I never do. For some reason, I feel that being 20 years old, and just getting into some animated thing would be a bit weird.

It's never weird to get into something animated. There's plenty of anime that's not appropriate for children if that's what you mean. I'd suggest something like G.T.O. (Great Teacher Onizuka). There's plenty of adult themes in there (although I haven't seen it yet, the manga is awesome).

Yeah, what I've seen of it was kind of cheesy and the animation is a little outdated but it was still fun too watch. If you want to see the fourth stage fansubs click here (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/402.html) (until Tokyopop licenses it of course).

Awesome. I might start downloading them.
I stumbled across a somewhat Target exclusive at my Super Target. It's the 9th volume of the Initial D anime bundled with the first volume of the manga. All for 12.99.
