what is your favorite song by Amon Amarth?

They are like my friends favorite band, but I can't get into them much. Cry Of The Black Birds (is that what is it called?) is kind of decent but I can't get pass how basic their songs are. They do absolutely nothing different in any song. They don't challenge themselves at all. Their last cd came with a pretty rad DVD though, and I like the whole viking gimmick they have going.

My favorite is a tie between "Vahall Awaits Me" and "Death In Fire." These guys know how to start off an album great.

I really like these guys. It's already been said, but I wish they would be a little more creative with their song structure and such.

Yeah that's a good point, I think they are a good band, but I couldn't see myself listening to ALL of their albums, as of now I have Fate of Norns and Versus The World...

Yeah I may check it out, the new bonus DVD seems awesome. I didn't even realize a new record was coming out until I saw it at target the other day.

Yeah, they really didn't market it at all. I didn't know an album was coming out till I saw a news post here that said there was a Metal File article about their new video and how they had to reshoot it because it was originally way too bloody.

Well, I guess it could have been promoted, just not on the websites I frequent, considering death metal doesn't get much coverage on this site, which is understandable. If I remember correctly, the new album sold 13,000 copies in the US alone it's first week out, which is really impressive for that type of music.

Yeah, I will check it out. The new record is supposed to have some good guest appearances from other metal type dudes. Sounds cool.

You should check out Fate of Norns and Versus the World though, really good.
