The music is equally atrocious with both, but at least with Simple Plan, I don't have to see photos of them with Hollywood bimbos in the checkout line at the grocery store.

on a side note, i think the key difference between these bands is Good Charlotte think they're hardcore...
i'm not sure Simple Plan think they're all that much more than pop at best...i think they enjoy making money, but GC seems to take it to a whole new level of poserdom.

Good Charlotte. They started out alright and did every thing wrong after their first CD. They tried to hard to fit into whatever was cool at the time and their last record shows how bad of an idea that was. Simple Plan's really not a great band but atleast they've been consistent.

good charlotte's music sucks, but they've at least done a few songs that make them suck less than simple plan, who are just awful, they need Scott(the Dick from South Park) who constantly conspires against Terrence & Phillip to harrass them for representing their country horribly, I can here it know "I HATE U SIMPLE PLAN, YOU THINK YOUR MUSIC IS SO FUNNEH!! sorry, i cant help myself, Not Without My Anus is still one of the funniest episodes ever hahah, but yes, Simple Plan sound utterly abismal, tho I'd much rather hang out with them than Good Charlotte, they seem like cool guys, but they're musically worse lol

It went severely downhill
I reckon - Simple Plan aren't anywhere near as pretentious as the Madden twins are now.

They both suck the same amount of hardness, but Simle Plan at least seem like they are decent people. So i went with Good Charlotte, they seem like giant douchebags.
both equally although gc used to be good on their first cd. second cd ok but i got tired of listening to it prty quickly and then really down hill with the last 2.
simple plan just not much there... how did they get a record deal?

i've hated both of these bands since their inception. its just so corny and awful. i usually like the poppy catchy stuff but both of these bands are vomit inducing
