It's in 3D which is kind of a turnoff, but it stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Rainn Wilson, Stephen Colbert and Kiefer Sutherland which isn't a bad cast at all

Trailer looks pretty good
it's actually the first "Tru-3D" movie ever made - that means (correct me if I'm wrong), but while creating the movie they rendered 3 versions: one for your left eye, one for your right eye, and one for both eyes.
It's supposed to give a real 3D experience, rather than current 3D films that just render some elements 3D after it's been made in 2D.

I think it should be Monstars vs Aliens. A cross over between the awesome Space Jam Monstars and the Aliens from Aliens.

Yeah it is, I think it might be worth the $15 just to see that in imax, it probably won't be 3d though
The cast for this movie is ridic. I'm actually really looking forward to it.

I'll definitely check this out at some point.....do you still need glasses for tru-3D?

I'm guessing you would still need the glasses.
I wanna see this, anyone got any thoughts on it yet?!

I figured you would. A teacher of mine once told me that they are eventually (within the next 5-10 years) going to be able to show 3-D without the need for glasses by running two projectors at the same time or something like that. I don't really remember and he was kinda spacey so who knows how true that'll turn out to be.

I just saw it. It was pretty funny but nothing special. I went to the regular one because the 3-D one was sold out. I was kinda sad.

Just got back from it and sadly the showing I saw wasn't in 3D. I thought it was pretty good, but I think I was hoping for something better - it was entertaining though.

That's pretty interesting. Would be cool if it worked.
I remember I used to have a wood shop teacher who was crazy as fuck. He would always preach to the students about how in 30 years we are going to have underwater cities and shit. It was hilarious and then he would always watch battle bots.

I don't think I could ever justify to myself paying 12.50 for 3-D.

I saw in 3D and it wasn't the best and at points a bit annoying. The kids in the screening barely laughed. All the jokes directed at adults were the bigger hit and it got way preachy at times.

preachy about what? how hard it is to be a monster? haha.
i liked it. saw the 3D version of it. fun stuff.

And there was this one gay Colombian kid there who totally sucked
Seth Rogen needs to play more roles like this where he isn't a total douchebag, he was more convincing with the jello than with Katherine Heigl

this was "cute". it definitely had its moments (stephen colbert being called papa bear), but pretty forgettable. i thought rogen and arnett did a pretty good job and were probably the best parts about the movie.
i must say, i'm getting pretty tired already of this 3D fad, and thought it added nothing to the movie and wasn't worth the 3 extra dollars.
