I prefer Green Day out of the 2. They were my first favorite band and are still one of my favorites. Plus, no one can touch their live show.

I agree for the most part except that its a close call between the Clash and the Ramones, I think the Ramones are more important to his "kings of punk" thing, but that's kind of dumb anyways. Green Day has an amazing live show and is much better than Blink 182. I love the Clash but at the same time I love the Ramones, tough call.

and, you have to agree that blink182 and greenday did have a huge impact in the whole poppunk music scene
and to call their music trash is pretty much wrong, it may not be your style, but you can't deny the talent. it bugs me when people talk down about almost any band, it may not be to your liking, but when you write an original album and can make a living making music...then i'll listen to you bitch about how much a band sucks

though true i think blink is better, you cant say that green day is better just because they were here first. then again i probably like blink better because i was introduced to them first, hmm interesting............still i like blink better

Green Day hands down. While both bands have had their immature moments, at least Green Day never wrote a song about fucking a dog in the ass. Plus, Green Day and The Offspring were the two bands that started me down the road to good music.
