Smoke weed everyday!

But for real, I know so many people who are going to abuse this and fuck this up for people who really need it.

People won't abuse it. I'm sure there will be extremely strict rules on it. They aren't just going to give it away like candy

Everybody already smokes it in NM. That's all there is to do. It's like life style here. I wish they would de-criminalize it. Shit.

this & the stem cell research thing passing is all anyone's been talking about today.

people are moronic enough to believe they can "fake" a disease which will enable them to get a prescription for marijuana.

christ, i hate this state.

eh its just one baby step towards inevitably legalizing it. just labeling it as "medical" makes it sound a lot less...hoodlumish. if that was a word.

I was considering voting no on this just because I hated every single person I knew that was saying vote yes, as volatile a stance that is to have.

The only one I was really concerned with was Prop 2. I'm really glad that one ended up passing, that one's light years more important than medicinal marijuana.

I personally know a couple people who were trying to get appointments with doctors already and try to have it prescribed.

Exactly. It's just like the people who voted for Obama just to say they're "progressive", rather than for the change he wants to bring.

I have two friends who exaggerated back/anxiety problems to get it prescribed. Top of the line weed.

This is great for people going through cancer. I know people (family-related) that have gone through cancer and absolutely needed to numb the pain. I'm glad people going through so much pain can now get even more help.

Fuck everyone who uses this for the wrong reason, you can't comprehend how wrong that is.

harsh.
case 1) a person gets a card and smokes weed legally.
case 2) a person gets no card and smokes weed illegally.

how is it wrong?

out of curiousity , is it as easy to get a prescription up there as it is here in california?

I'm not sure because I have never done it, but I doubt it's very hard. Canadians, in general, are more open minded about Marijuana than Americans. It would probably be at least decriminalized here if it wasn't for the US.

I actually qualify for this in Michigan.

If you're just smoking just to smoke, while someone else requires it for medical reasons. You're an idiot. That's my opinion.

Who is it harming? No one. If people use it when they don't "need" it, that doesn't harm the chances of someone using it for medical reasons from getting it.

Why do some people hate smokers so much? I really don't get it.

It's just something morally I can't stand. I won't go up and start screaming at you like an idiot if I see someone doing it. But I can't stand hearing about it or watching it. It's just a preference. I don't hate them as a person, I just hate when they do it.

Teachers know about it, I've told. . .and they call me a liar. Well, let's look at the grades in the Adrian schools. they SUCK. come on. . . .something has to be going on behind closed doors. Really, the doors aren't closed at all. . .. the teachers and staff just don't dare walk through the OPEN DOOR to find out.

I smoke weed quite regularly and I've maintained a 3.6 GPA. Weed does not affect your intelligence, please stop reading US Government drug intelligence brochures.

Also, quit snitching, dumbass. Nobody ever wants to have sex with the snitch.

Decriminalization of marijuana is something that just needs to happen. I'm getting my grower's license next month, meaning I can be in possession of 6 pounds and have 90 plants growing at any given time. I'm pretty stoked. I mean really, alcohol is so much worse than weed. It's only because of the stigma that's attached to marijuana that it is even illegal. They just made it illegal to keep Mexicans from making money in the United States back in the day. In the 1930s there was a large Anti-Chicano movement which spurred the authorities to make marijuana illegal and less desireable and even a source of fear (through movies such as Reefer Madness) in order to prevent the merging of a Mexican-American subculture.

This directly coincides with the media's breaking news regarding the US' war on drugs failing.

Man, I thought change would happen fast, but I didn't think we'd see anything before Christmas.

Although I am saddened the first fated "conflict" with Obama had to happen now, and had to take 180 some lives. Health, not death, c'mon folkses!

Same thing happens in the Bedford school system. One of my friends is an assistant basketball coach at Erie Mason and he told on some of the kids to the Varsity Coach and the coach replied "I don't want to hear about it" and the Varsity coach didn't do a thing because it was a few of his "star" players.
