Ok so first off. You openly admit your jelous of this band. That is a start. 2nd you can attack their music all you want. But dont attack their charicter. I had never talked to him before and I told him I liked his band and was thanking me like I had just given him a million dollars. I have never met a more sincere and down to earth band member... EVER. He even offered to show me some of the new songs that they have been demo'ing. And holy shit... you guys havent even gotten a taste of what this band is going to do once their full length is out. You guys all just assume that this band is cookie cutter bullshit, and they are dickheads, and are just in it for the spoils. Thats complete bullshit, these guys love making music together. The bottom line is that OF's popularity is based on their ability to make music that all sounds the same. (ie: senses fail, hawthorne heights, etc...) I have to admit that when I heard on of OF's older demos over a year ago, it wasn't too bad and at first I actually enjoyed a few of the songs. Then it dawned on me that the same breakdowns, same beats, same repetitive 3 note piano parts, and same played-out keyboard handstands were in EVERY song. My dislike for this band was further instilled after playing a show with them and witnessing their bitchy attitudes and onstage shit talking to the crowd and other bands.

In closing I would like to say that the highlight of their set at that free Metro show last month is when the bassplayer fell flat on his face after trying to be a rockstar and stage dive. That was classic.

No they play Knights where they headline and tons of people show. Then they get to play with big bands because they are a good band. So I guess every band has to come up with a new style to be respected or be a good band? Okay so they didn't make a new genre, but they play well and make good catchy music and have a great live show. I'm sure most of the bands you listen to are just as genereic.

well, well, well. where do I begin? First off, I dislike October Fall because they are assholes as people and they make really bad and boring music.

For your second paragraph trying to ridicule the fact that I'm from the city, it barely made sense to begin with and it's obvious that your higher-funded private school education did alot of good with your writing skills. (just in case you didn't know, that was what some people call sarcasm). I am proud of the fact that I am from the city and am happy that I grew up here as opposed to some elitist, rich scum ass northside suburb. Save for a few bands and people from the area, the entire scene is complete cliche bullshit up there.

And for the record, I don't have anything bad to say about Fall Out Boy because they are nice guys who make good music.
