keeping things generally respectful, regardless of who you've voted for or what you believe in.

I really can't stand going onto myspace of facebook and seeing all these people saying "FUCK OBAMA" or "FUCK MCCAIN" and completely putting down the opposing side. I was actually afraid to come onto ap.net because I figured it would just be the same here, but for the most part, I was impressed.

Not only does being disrespectful completely kill your argument and your credibility, it also just makes you look like your vocabulary is smaller than that of my 3 year old brother.

Look at the results of the homosexuality and gay marriage poll and then look at the results on the gay marriage proposal and I think you will see we are a lot smarter or at least more well-rounded and sensible than your average Facebook user.

Or apparently average Californian, Arizonan, Floridian, and whatever they call people in Arkansas.
