Is there anyone here who frequents IGN.com, and is part of their insider program? There are always all these things that I want to read/see, but I never can because I'm not an insider, and I was wondering if anyone here is, and what they think about it?

IGN is the fucking standard for videogame coverage. the only thing that remotely comes close is gamespot, but i much prefer the guys at ign. even though the site interface at gamespot, and the membership program are a lot cooler. IGN's writers are just fucking bomb, and I base almost all videogame purchases or rentals on what they say.

I used to be a member of IGN Insider. I don't think it's really worth it. I got a "free" subscription to EGM when i joined and access to better quality videos and articles that were locked. But here's a hint. If you just wait a month or so, the locked articles and videos usually become available to all members.
However, I think they are now offering two magazines subscriptions if you join. You can choose FHM and Maxim if you want. $19.95 seems like a good deal. I'd say it's worth it. My subscriptions to both of those mags have expired so maybe I'll join now.
My brother has it, i think he likes it. He used to write reviews for them. We still get every xbox game that comes out for free ;)

That son of a bitch. lol. I'd do anything for that. :)
Ha, yeah its quite the deal. They had a contest around last Christmas time, and we had like 10 copies of Counterstrike, Rainbow Six, Crimson Skies, Topspin, and Need For Speed, and they only gave away a few so we still have multiple copies of some games.
The other upside is we make quite a bit of money off ebay/trading in games.
