This album almost has me excited. I liked some of the tunes on their first EP, I hated most of their covers on their second EP, and I wasn't the biggest fan of Dig...but that was so long ago, I think it's time I gave them a second chance. I'll be looking forward to hearing some tracks off of this one coming up.

Their new album is so chill. I feel like its the late 60's and I'm stoned off my mind when I listen to them. It's great.

this album is awesome and for some reason it reminds me of some classic rock

it reminds you of classic rock cause this band is a jam band who is highly influenced by 60's and 70's musicians

I have given this band a lot of chances but man i cant get into them. I hate their new cd. Im not much of a hippie, and going to CU i have grown to dispise hippies. So yeah, this isnt for me

I don't get the hype about Steel Train. They're not that incredible.

jusdging by the kind of music it looks like you listen to i wouldnt expect you to like this band. theyre far from a punk/emo band. if you look at their favorite artists and influences, none of it is from that genre. its pretty ridiculous that theyre on drive thru although it gives them some exposure from people that probably never would have heard them. but anyway, if you like classic rock or jam bands at all check these guys out, theyre pretty decent

I like classic rock but this album is odd to me. It sounded more like country music than anything else. Which I hate.

yeah..i mean obviously theyre not a "classic rock" band because theyre playing in modern times. so if you like a lot of classic rock it doesnt mean youll like this, plus theres ridiculous amounts of variety in that genre if you can even call it a genre. but what i meant was you can definitely hear 60's/70's influences, as well as mybe country/bluegrass.

Steel Train is one of the bands I listen to when I get blazed of my ass. That is a very minute club. Hawaii is the perfect place to tape this video.

they're more on par with the grateful dead, the byrds, flying burrito brothers than say the stones and led zepplin, if you want to classify them as classic rock. as is obvious by the warmth of the acoustic instruments and softness of the vocals as opposed to the balls-out rocking of the latter-listed bands.

That's pretty much what happened with me. Before I saw them live I despised them but after their performance and hearing their new disc I love this band.

what the eff? since when do drive thru bands shoot videos in hawaii? i thought only ll cool j did that. i bet they shot it on one of the snazzy tropical-like islands though, not the overrun by tourism island in hawaii that i grew up on.

If you want an album to chill to there are a few to choose from. Basically any OAR album, Jack Johnson albums, and Steel Train's full length. It is good, it is chill, it is not rock it is something to get lost in. If you like laid back music then you'll like this album. If you let the album take you to wherever it takes you through it's 'jamming' then you'll like it all the more. If you want it to tell you where to go and want to bounce up and down or scream along in your car, then stay away. simple, chill, steel train.

Steel Train is the only good thing about that new Bob Dylan tribute album. The rest of the bands are going to butcher the songs.
