According to Fred's journal, Taking Back Sunday (http://www.takingbacksunday.com) might possibly be playing a new song or two on their tour with Jimmy Eat World (http://www.jimmyeatworld.com).

I hope it doesn't suck as much as the last album- although TBS has a history of making amazing demos and not living up to them, much like Adam's "good friend" John over in Straylight Run.

I'll have to agree with that. I'll see you there next week. I just wish it wasn't at Arrow Hall i hate that venue, the sound is horrible in there. Oh well i'll take what i can get.

Check your private messages i sent you a message.
Jared should give 100000 scene pts to the kid who records the new songs. Don't worry TBS. even though I was disappointed with WYWTB I will still buy your new cd!!

This show is playing at my school in a few weeks, so I'll definitely be there. Hearing some new songs would be pretty sweet. I'm just excited to see The Format again. They rock.

Let's hope they can make up for WYWTB, not that it was a complete disgrace but it was no TAYF by any means but we all know that, anyways I am really excited to see what they come up with this time around.

i am doing a documentry for my video tech class on the whole process of getting to the concert all that stuff, cause its in rhode island and we're getting a hotel and a bunch of my friends are going, im going to attempt to sneak in the video camera, its rather small. so we'll see how it goes.

I'm sure doing that would fix your pesky scene point problem. ;)
Seriouslly though, that would be sweet if you could actually record that shit.
So going to Stony Brook 4/19. I'm really hoping they debut a few new ones. And I finally found that format cd, and I was pleasntly suprised. That disc is actually pretty damn good.
And Jimmy eat world always kicks ass anyway.
Anyone else going to SB here? I hear it's a packed house now.

So I put in WYWTB a little bit ago, and it really isn't THAT bad. It's not Tell All Your Friends, maybe not even that close, but it's still pretty good. While the lyrics aren't great, some of the songs are very good and some are catchy.
Slowdance is still the best song on the album.

Agreed. That, or "the union".
The first 3 songs are pretty damn good. The others start to go downhill after that. Not bad, but not awesome either. They'll bounce back with the new stuff, I have a feeling.

exciting i hope they're an improvement, not that i didn't enjoy where you want to be, it just didn't speack to me like tell all your friends did and i'll be interested to hear what they do.
somewhat on subject, if anyone has some of the demos from where you want to be that weren't on it that i hear are actually quite good, i would love you forever if you would send them my way. IM me at nvm261 if you please many thanks

But I'm excited to hear some of this new TBS and see JEW and The Format (especailly) in a week exactly.
Slowdance is still the best song on the album.

Im guessing you bought floor tickets....whenever i buy GA/floor (only way to see a show) it will still give you like a row and sometimes seat number but it should still be GA if thats what you paid for

TBS demos in no way compare to the final product. The original demo sucks compared to Tell All Your Friends (with the exception of the quote), and the only demo for WYWTB was Follow the Format. Which was pretty kickass. But one song, in my opinion, doesn't warrant saying that their albums suck compare to the demos.

i thought set phasters to stun, bonus mosh, and one-eighty by summer were three of the best songs around last summer, but they make singles like decade (tolerable) and photograph (terrible). I by no means have turned on them though, just expectations after a debut cd like tell all your friends are hard to live up to.
maybe they'll decided to redo follow the format for the next cd... that song was better then at least 8 other songs on the WYWTB cd.

it was a different song altogether, they just took that title and put it on another song, but yeah, if they would of made that song, it would have been sick...

Hell yeah. There's just something to the bridge and ending of that song that I love. Can't quite put my finger on it, but its awesome.

I have the video version (if you want it, i think i got it at www.thisisnotemo.com , check if its still there), but you can't really hear shit after the first 15 seconds. Still, those seconds were glorious. I would love to hear the original in somewhat good form.

TBS is great. ive liked them for a very long time now and for those who say TBS turned to shit and isnt near as good as they used to be...honestly, think about it. what they said they wanted was something more mature then Tell All Your Friends, if youve noticed ...or paid close attention, nearly all the lyrics on tell all your friends are about girls and on where you want to be its more than that, they are more meaningfull lyrics in a way. And yeah i agree that theyre old cd sounds better then their new one but if theyre happy with theyre new one then i think thats good. And also, if you ever look at TBS's guitar tabs, there new CD is much harder to play then theyre old one. Their old one is mostly just power chords. I think theyve come a long way after all theyve been through and theyve never dissapointed me. I think they are very talented..but hey, this is just my opinion, i know everyone has their own.
If anyone needs any songs...demos, cover songs, live songs, anything just IM me at TBS712, i have A LOT!!
