When the blog messes up the formatting, copy the information then click on the "edit html" tab and delete everything.
Then click back on "compose" tab and paste the information, it should sort out the weird spacing issues.

Btw, do you have any of the artwork for these Connect Sets? I managed to track down two through google image searches but can't find any more. I have a feeling it has all been lost due to the connect sets site closing down.

On a bsides related note, does anyone remember those Fall Out Boy sessions that were posted. The America's Suitehearts tracks that had just backing vocals, or just guitars etc? What was I supposed to change the extension to so that I could listen to them on windows? I don't have Garageband or a Mac :P.

Also, I know it's goofy, but does anybody have any/all of the Emocapella stuff? Either the songs they had floating around or either/both of their full lengths. It's kinda fun to listen to.

And lastly, and this is more of a judgment call than a request, but when a band releases a remastered version of an album you already have in your collection, do you sort the new remastered version and replace the old version? Or do you keep both of them? Or do you think most remastered versions are bullshit and just disregard it? I only ask because I'm down to my last gig on my iPod and I need to save some space.

i usually keep the remastered and throw away the old. for ex i kept all the remastered versions of several Relient K albums. usually they just sound better. its a matter of your opinion though as some may like the more raw sound of lesser quality. id just say buy a bigger ipod lol

People will say V0 is better because it removes unnecessary data (stuff you supposedly can't hear anyway) from mp3s and it saves space. But I think that argument is quickly becoming pointless because of how big hard drives are becoming and personally, I like to think the extra 40 or 50 kbps I'm getting with CBRs is actually improving the quality (I believe it does). So for me, I like 320 CBR because I know I'm getting the BEST quality possible for an mp3. So if you have the space, do 320 CBR for peace of mind on the quality thing. That's my advice.

I use Exact Audio Copy with LAME encoding. Here is a link to download EAC:

Quick question for you all. I have a zipped file of music (music is about 1.8 GB) that I need to send someone whats the best method of getting it to them.
Personally i'd split the archive up into small chunks (say 200mb each) and upload it to megaupload/rapidshare that way. Failing that stick it on a dvd-r and send it through the post....probably the easiest way.

Splitting it up is definitely the best way. To do this - (I'm assuming you have WinRAR) - highlight all the files you want to add, then right-click > Add to Archive. Then under "Split to Volumes, bytes" select that down arrow and hit Zip100. That should work. Then upload all of the resulting files to a file hosting site like mediafire/over AIM. Oh, and one more thing - the person will have to have ALL of the archives downloaded before they can open them.

I don't doubt it. But they clearly have not taken the time to update the older mp3s to reflect the current state of mp3 quality. And that's what really bothers me. You're trying to compete with iTunes and Amazon yet you're unwilling to take the necessary steps to do it.

Or VBR. There's no way it's 121 CBR. You can't encode to 121, it's an average bit-rate for VBR. Which actually makes sense for a live acoustic track. Does it sound bad or are you actually going off the number itself?

It sounds bad. Trust me. It is VBR and I never said it was CBR. But it's at such a low VBR that it's practically worthless. It's like they decided to encode at 128 VBR instead of, say 256 or 320 VBR.
