For the Rise Against fans, I recorded their live acoustic session on the BBC Radio 1 station earlier today. I recorded in 24bit FLAC and converted to 320 mp3. It's a transcode, but I wasn't sure of the original quality (I always record in FLAC anyways tho, so everything I hear from the stream is captured).

You're right, the Thrice section is lacking. In the next day or two, I'm going to upload everything else I have that isn't already on there. I'm sure I'll still be missing things (as I didn't download every single song on Water Is Poison before it went down) so then the gaps can be filled in by other people.

speaking of rare songs by 'em - they released a rarities comp back in august (digital only), according to this news post (http://www.punknews.org/article/29868).

but it looks like there's still a lot more out there than what that comp has, according to this news comment:

There are still quite a few rarities out there that they left off, though. Let's see...there's the "(Illa Zilla) Lady Killa" version of "Ladykiller" that was on Slippery when Ill but that they left off of ...Play Really Bad Original Country Tunes. From the split with Assorted Jelly Beans (that "Joe" is from) there's the cover of Supernova's "Costa Mesa Hates Me" and the weird reprise of "Happy Birthday to Me". Speaking of cover songs, there's "The Day My Baby Gave Me a Surprise" from the Devo tribute CD and the version of "My Heart Will Go On" with Katalina from the That Darn Punk soundtrack. Also from that soundtrack there's the "Theme from That Darn Punk" and "Right on Q"...and speaking of soundtracks there's the "Theme from Glory Daze" (that "Change the World with My Hockey Stick" comes from). Also "To All the Kids" from Short Music for Short People and the Look What I Almost Stepped In outtakes "I Don't Think You're a Slut", "S.W.M.", and "Why Are You Alive?" which were on comps. "I'm Black" is an Internet Dating Superstuds outtake, but they left out "Count to Ten". There's also a bunch of Shingo remixes that they used to have on the website. There are also a few rarities from the Stevo days like "Dachua Cabana", but I doubt those would ever get re-released.

So hell, if you wanted to complete your Vandals collection there's a good chunk of your guide. Or maybe they'll do another one of these rarities collections with some of those tracks.

Stereo mix is great, for people who know enough to disable all sounds from other sources. Otherwise you get aim sounds in your song rips. Which I've downloaded a few and it is very annoying. That's actually why I started doing them myself.

But, yeah, you have to remember what you're doing. I try to go for the source as much as possible though. I highly recommend the firebug plug in for Firefox. I've probably found some stuff I shouldn't have with that, lol.

I generally hate that noise anyway, so it's turned off on my AIM.

But, yeah, you have to remember what you're doing. I try to go for the source as much as possible though. I highly recommend the firebug plug in for Firefox. I've probably found some stuff I shouldn't have with that, lol.

Mine's the demo which is just acoustic. I checked that 'What It Is to Burn - New Version' and it's just the same as the album version. The 'limited vinyl rip' is actually a demo version of it (different to the one on the UK version of the album). I'll get working on uploading it.

You can't really. The closest you can get is to convert the m4a to wav and then encode to high quality mp3.

On a similar note, I have downloaded a couple albums in .ape format. In the file that I downloaded, I have an .ape file and a .cue file. Now if I'm understanding correctly, you can use the .cue file to break up the .ape file into multiple tracks. How do I do this?

Haha yeah, that's how I feel. I uploaded all my rare SoCo and JM stuff a while back and now I have nothing good to contribute.
