Alot of people haven't herd of this EP, i think probably only a few 100 copies were made, and only given out on the us tour with Silverstein and Holly Roman Empire. I have friends in cali who went as well and they didnt get one so it must be limited. I went to the Chicago venue. Soil did this to wen they were on tour with Disturbed and COC.

The cd didnt really have album art work it cam in a paper/cardboard sleve which had the usuall rise against symbol and some othere designs, but sense i keep all my disks in a binder unsure were irts at if i come across it ill upload a scan.

So enjoy, sorry its not a 320kbs CBR that alot of people seam to prefer....but i prefer VBR-VO with a 320kbs sub header

I don't need any proxy i need one that people knows works. I've spent plenty of time googling it and researching it but the old ones that used to function simply don't work. People have obviously posted music that they have ripped of at high quality (from myspace or other peer sites), so i asked you guys who have proven can do the action needed could provide me with the information to one that does work with the file2hd site.

It sounds weird to say because it's the same singer, but I think it sounds like a Cursive/The Good Life mix. Some of the lighter sounding, more Good Life-esque songs are the best tracks in my opinion.
That's actually a pretty good comparison. I'll agree with that one. It's less hard hitting and discordant and a lot more melodic. Now that you mention it there are a couple of tracks that definitely remind me of Good Life songs.

I was strongly considering preordering this but with cursive I feel it is always a toss up. Some of their stuff is brilliant, Burst and Bloom EP (personally I feel it's the best cursive release haha) and most of The Ugly Organ, but I'm not too keen on Happy Hollow so I hesitated on the preorder.

I'm a Domestica man, simply because it was the first full album I heard from them. If you weren't keen on Happy Hollow (especially songs like Bad Sects or Into The Fold) then you probably made a good choice not pre-ordering the new album. It's still a very solid album. But it doesn't sound a whole lot like older Cursive.

Just as a heads up, I found a really cool program called Pazera Free Audio Extractor. It's freeware (hence the name) and you can set it to extract audio from video files at the original bitrate and audio type. It's really useful.

I know we have in in the blog's rules as it being ok but I've been thinking, if it's still available to buy shouldn't it be classed in the same category as an in print audio CD's and be off limits?

Personally I buy performance dvd's for the audio as I never ever ever enjoy watching bands perform (unless im actually at the gig) so the thought of dvd-audio is well greeted by me. But saying that it's still like warez really when you see it posted on somewhere like bsidesrus and I would like to see it off there because people have ways and means to rip audio from the dvd by themselves just by googling.

I, personally, just use my own 'ripper'. Sure it isn't as easy or visually appealing [song title wise anyways] as File2HD, but it has worked with the really old player, the 'new' player, and the newest incarnation that File2HD is having problems with. I feel like posting up an audio rip of a DVD doesn't prevent the downloader from purchasing the DVD...in fact there have been times where it's actually persuaded me. The video is what sells it to people; otherwise labels would just sell live CD's and live CD's only. As long as we don't post the video I have no qualms about it as it's nothing close to the real product. Plus, most people don't have the time/skills to do an audio rip even with a quick google search. Most people don't have the time/skills to properly track down b-sides either...which is why B-Sides R Us is such a great resource.

I think the biggest difference is that you can't buy bootlegs (for the most part anyway) whereas you can pick up a bands DVD fairly easily.

I don't think any label would make us take down a bootleg but I'm sure they'd have something to say about a DVD rip.

not for me. for example, the 'believe in what you want' dcd from jimmy eat world. i bought it to rip the audio into a live cd cause at the time (before i stumbled onto the b side blog or began downloading torrents and such), i never had a live version of 'get it faster'. screw concert video. i'd rather go to the show and crowdsurf and mosh; come home with a guitar pick or two and an autographed setlist rather than park my ass on the couch and watch the show. which is why blockbuster.com has been such a blessing for me. i rent live dvd's (chevelle, bullet for my valentine, papa roach), rip the audio, and send it back. i get what i want and i don't have to pay money to keep a dvd that i won't even watch, or wait weeks if not months for someone to get the idea to do it themselves. besides, most of the time the quality of a concert form a dvd is much better than the quality of someone taking a recorder to a show and taping it from the crowd.

As far as the DVD thing goes, I totally see each side. It's not the same as a bootleg, since it's commercially available. Usually, if you can't find it in a store, you can get it via the band's/label's website.

I purchase for both the video/audio, but I have a bunch of DVDs that never had a live CD release with them, so I have to rip them if I just want to listen to the music. I don't think people question the right or wrong of it because for some people, it's difficult to rip.

Also, I don't know if it's okay but does anyone have the bonus acoustic tracks from Green Day's 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours? The version I have doesn't have them, since they keep re-pressing it.

the id3 tag is connected to the file itself, so uninstalling and reinstalling itunes should not change the editing that you've done. i know it didn't when i had to do that with itunes.

Just a fun fact while I remember it - bootlegs usually aren't a big deal because they are from either Recording of Independent Origin or from Public Broadcasts (i.e. TV Stations, FM broadcasts). That's why a torrent site like DIME has been around forever with no problem.

as for the device manager, it is what it says; a tool that manages all the devices on your computer. right click on your desktop and click properties. if you have vista, look in the top left corner. i'm not on my xp computer right now, but i think if you look through the tabs, its at the top of one of them. you can also go to start, run, and type devmgmt.msc and it should come right up.

i have both of those gatsbys releases your asking for, but on my other computer at school, which i won't be heading back to until sunday. sorry haha.

Well, everyone in that band has another gig. Roger's is just the most prominent, and really the only full-time one as far as I can think of...

But there's a new band called Hometeam that is essentially Rehasher, but they've subtracted Roger and added a female. Haha. I'm not sure if they've recorded anything, though.

I only just found it. I rarely go to the boards anymore. Love the band but hate the forumers. Sucks too cause I've really lost touch with this band. I used to have about 16 gigs of JEW on my HDD, now I have none, well ... except this lol.
Need to get back into them again. I miss the times I had every different version of every single song and all the live shows out there. Now they're all on CD-R/DVD-Rs/externals lol
