I can't wait for a new album - they are massively underrated. What did you think of Trampoline? I have to say I prefer Twilight Tales type Steel Train but Trampoline certainly grew on me.
I'd never heard that before but I'm liking it a lot. I wanna find it now.

they really are completely underrated. I love Trampoline, but it was actually the first album of theirs I got. I only got into them in april when I saw them open for The Starting Line and then again two days later at Bamboozle Left and I bought that album from them there. I only just got the rest of their discography in november so that was the stuff that had to grow on me.

they played two songs from the album when they toured, Touch Me Bad and Solider in the Army. and Touch Me Bad is actually on their Live From Bonnaroo album which I definitely recommend. it's a great live album.

other than that, they've been updating their twitter a lot from the studio and they have a tour blog too.

I knew a few songs and thought they were OK, but seeing them live made me a fan. they do put on a great live show, and Trampoline is one of my favorites from 07

when they came here in june, my friend and I noticed Scott was MIA so we were asking the cute merch guy, and he said he wasn't out of the band, just couldn't come on that tour. but then not too long after I noticed they'd taken him off their facebook page and stuff. I can't remember if they ever really announced him leaving or not.

I can't imagine that they are seeing as every band is either breaking up or jumping ship. and I thought fun. was on The Format's label on Nettwerk or something?

yeah, i just haven't heard any word of them leaving or getting picked up by another label so i'm not sure.

on their myspace it still says they're unsigned. and that label created by The Format was really only there to release Dog Problems, i don't think it's a full functioning label.

normally i'd recommend getting into bands chronologically, but for them i would start with Trampoline and then work your way backwards.

I'm positive Aim & Ignite is out on Nettwerk. from looking at their current roster (http://www.nettwerk.com/label), it actually looks like they have a lot.

agreed. that's what I did. and I recommend that anyone see them live. they're amazing live. I make sure to see them every time they come around.

Hadn't really listened to this band since their drive-thu EP. Saw them at SXSW because they were playing the party I was at. I was COMPLETELY blown away. I checked out their set the next day as well. My favorite show I saw that week. Their 3 new songs are just great.

Steel Train is one of those bands that impressed me from my first encounter with their music and the love just kept growing. So freaking good and their live shows are amazing. Can't wait for the new album.

that is the worst feeling in the world. I went to a show in the fall and I got there so late, I only saw two songs from the band I actually wanted to see.

I love Trampoline, but the new song "Turnpike Gates" is garbage.
so far it doesn't do for me what Trampoline did. I want to hear the rest of the album though.

"Turnpike Ghost" took a few listens to grow on me, but I love it now. Something about it reminds me of a Lindsey Buckingham solo song circa the Go Insane era. But if the other new material is any indication, I think this new album may surpass Trampoline. "You and I Undercover" is incredible and there is a song they have been playing live that I think is called "Song Burning in Hell" that I already love, especially when all five members of the band play percussion. "Bullet" is pretty good too.

As far as I'm concerned it's official. They been confirmed opening two dates already. Cleveland and Texas I think. Safe to say they're on the entire tour. Everything else is anyones guess. I'm excited to see what they have to say tomorrow

Trampoline is fantastic. "Black Eye" is awesome, especially live and "Alone on the Sea" is one of their best tunes.

These guys have been pretty quiet lately. I am guessing because Jack is wrapped up in fun. stuff but here's hoping they hit the road for a few shows again soon, and maybe some new tunes aren't far off either.
