Pennywise (http://www.pennywisdom.com) are currently hard at work on their eighth full length album entitled The Fuse, set for release in July, 2005. The new album is being self-produced by the band – JIM LINDBERG (vocals), FLETCHER DRAGGE (guitar), BYRON MCMAKIN (drums) and RANDY BRADBURY (bass) at Stall #2 studio in Redondo Beach, CA.
Having demoed over 30 new songs, the band has sorted through them all and is now focusing on the 16-18 strongest tracks to record for the new record. Tracks scheduled to appear on The Fuse include “Lies,” “Disconnect,” “Closer” and “Eighteen Soldiers.”

In other news, PENNYWISE will take a break from recording to perform at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 9. The concert will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the sound stage in front of the Long Beach Convention Center and is free to all race ticket holders. In past years, the Rock-N-Roar Concert has featured acts like the Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind and Everclear. The concert will be followed immediately by the Tecate Miss Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pageant.

"We always love playing extreme sporting events and as long as Sylvester Stallone isn't driving this year, this should be pretty extreme," said guitarist Fletcher Dragge. "We're also big racing fans so it will be an awesome weekend."

Right. That's why they're still around after 16 some odd years in the business. They're fuckin' sick live, stole the show at Warped Tour '01.

You're pathetic. This band puts on a hell of a show and sound better live than a lot of bands out there.

Pennywise is the shit, not many bands can rock for so long. Land Of The Free is a great record, I hope this one's just as good.

i usually don't agree with them politically, but they are a great band. and yes, they are fast and insane live.

yeah pennywise is pathetic. they've only had seven awesome albums and influenced half the bands the poeple on this website listen to. more importantly they have their own style, unlike half the generic bands the people on this website listen to. if you're under the age of 15, i can understand why you would make such a pathetic post, because pennywise was making awesome music when you were negative 3.

One of the most brutal pits I've seen/been in was at a Pennywise concert. They definately put on a great, high octane show.

can't rip on pennywise- they're probably one of the reasons some of your favorite artists even picked up an instrument. even if you were negative 3 when the first bro hymn came out.
