i could argue this on a theological level, i could argue this on a civil rights level, and i could argue this on a moral level........but i've always been a hopeless romantic so i'll just say your one true love is your only one true love whether or not that love is heterosexual or homosexual......and true love eventually conquers all.

The California Supreme Court ruled that it is legal for homosexuals to get married in California. ... As a result, thousands of wedding planners will finally get to plan their own wedding.

The anti-gay marriage amendment: The president endorsed it. The Senate discussed it. I'm pretty sure Jerry Falwell masturbated to it.

A ban on same-sex marriage would be unconstitutional per the 9th and 14th amendments.

Obama has already shown opposition to an amendment banning same-sex marriage, and I'm sure most of congress is too.

Quoted for 2 reasons. The first to document your agreement with me. The second for me to agree with you that while Obama didn't endorse prop 8, he did say marriage should be between a man and woman. http://obama.senate.gov/press/060607-obama_statement_26/index.php

Biden also opposed it.

Clinton

DOMA 96. Although I would be interested in seeing his opinion now and having someone ask him if he regrets pushing for it back in 96.

Biden also opposed it.obama also said he would never do anything to impede gay marriage even if he doesnt agree with with.

biden never opposed it. When he was on the Ellen show he called it regressive and unfair and if he lived in CA, he would of voted against it

I believe it's a civil right, and I'm shocked that Prop 8 passed; I think the lanugage may have been confusing, I've heard that mentioned too. It's a shock considering how liberal Cali is.

Parts of California. Not all of California is as liberal as areas like San Francisco and Los Angeles. I live in Kern County, and for the most part, people are as conservative as any small town church within the Bible Belt area.

And the language of Proposition 8 wasn't confusing. It blatantly said it would create a constitutional amendment so that only marriage between a man and a woman would be recognized. What did get confusing were the Yes On 8 ads that ran saying that churches would lose funding and schools would teach classes on gay marriage, which weren't much short of flat-out lies.
