Travis Barker said on TRL that Plus 44 was an electronic band and that Mark (Hoppus) plays bass, he'll be playing drums (of course), and a girl is in it. He also said that Blink 182 (http://www.blink182.com) will make a new record when the feeling is right.

Well, given that 2 of the 3 interviews have said that Blink will return one day, I'm betting that's the case.

I agree with everyone else, quit fucking with us. Haha, first it's on then its off, now its back on. Can't wait for the new one though. And an electronic album with Mark should sound pretty good in my opinion.

I think the situation is that the band is essentially over, but they don't want to close the doors. I got that impression from the audio interview with Travis, where he insisted that he was definitely willing to work with Mark and Tom as Blink in the future. I think he was being honest when he said that he thought the band was over. However, it's not his right to say it, so when he does large public things he must pretend that all is well or that there's at least a good chance of a Blink album in the future.
I'll be interested to hear what Plus 44 sounds like. Electronic, totally not what I expected, but I'm sure it will be cool. What I'm really wondering about is Tom...

I agree, if Mark isn't singing main vocals or sings like every other song like he did with Blink...then I'm really not as interested as I used to be. Mark's voice is what made me a Blink fan. Tom's voice was a bit irritating at first, but it kind of grew on me and just seems kind of unique now.

I dont think they will be ripping off motion city soundtrack, i think its probably something more postal service like. These guys have always both liked beats and shit, and it just makes sense, it will fit in that whole genre, not electronica.
And I think Travis should stop talking and you all should stop listening. He is not the frontman of Blink, nor their publicist, nor their manager. Blink is Mark and Tom. Blink could replace Travis and still be Blink, he needs to shut up about it. Like I said before, hes just pulling all this shit to keep publicity for his show alive. If Blink was truly done, Mark and Tom would say something, they respect their fans that much. These guys aren't about money, never have been, I mean there first gold record is in a fucking mexican food restaurant, come on now.

back in the day, my favorite blink songs were the ones that featured both tom and mark on vocals. i like both for what they do, because what they do is completely different. tom sort of wears his heart on his sleeve, while mark focuses on being melodic. now that blink is fizzling, you think tom will go back on his word and make another boxcar racer record?

If he did that...Mark would be pissed probably (if he still cares at all anymore since he's got another band ala BoxCar style)...and then Travis would have to choose sides...that would really suck.

I dissagree with you. Travis can be replaced. Neither Mark or Tom would want that and if it did happen the would've never settled for a drummer of a lower callibur. But, Blink could continue with another drummer. They have changed drummers once already.

Why is everyone acting like it's Travis's fault? Just because he's the only band member that even discusses it?
It'll be interesting to hear what Mark says on Fuse (I think he's on Daily Download or something, I remember getting an e-mail about it). See another side (albeit a public side once again, so he won't announce that they're breaking up).
The band wouldn't be the same without Travis. That being said, if one member were to leave, I would expect that member to be Travis.

But I gotta say Blink pretty much is Mark and Tom, when anyone thinks of blink they don't think of travis. Tom and Mark have been there since the beginning, and they just are blink, I'm a huge blink fan and I could care less if Travis left the band. I understand he is an incredible drummer, but it really wouldn't matter if he left. Plus he just pisses me off with his playboy wife, and the way he thinks he's a thug, and his appearances in P.Diddy videos.

you're missing the point, i fully agree that mark and tom are the "face" of blink, and what everyone sees etc, but the music is what makes the band. not many other drummers are up to the level of travis
Blink is done, why is everyone trying to fight it? They might not be done forever but obviously right now its over.
Obviously you read the front page of AP that has an article that Mark has been quoted on. Oh and I guarantee Travis had a lot to say on the last album. Plus 44 are up on my list of what I'm waiting for and expecting to be great in this year. Mark did awesome with Motion City Soundtrack's "Commit This to Memory" and just from hearing what he could do there and what he can do on his own makes me fucking stoked. Box Car Racer was made solely from Tom and it sounds like Blink..basically. Let’s hear what Mark sounds like. I'm very interested to see what he has up his sleeve. Like Travis says "if Blink was daytime Plus 44 would be nighttime" meaning expect something completely different that will turn out and surprise most of you as a very good.
Mark has talent and he is getting older viewing shit differently, I even saw him on the show Trippin on MTV which I thought was weird at first then just realized he wants to do different shit and finally grow up and in my opinion Tom doesn’t and that’s my view on why they broke up. It's all coming together. But we all know Blink and their past and we know they don't talk to the media about their so called "dirty laundry"
