No problem, going through chemo at such a young age couldnt of been easy though.
Your probably one of the only people in this thread with a real medical problem.
The chemo I was on wasn't typical. It was rough, though. I didn't lose my hair, but it did make me feel like shit. That was really the only time besides post-surgery that I felt like death. It was a chemo for Lymphoma called Rituxan that they tried on me to cure my ITP, but it didn't work =\
I don't know about that, haha. I'm sure people here have their things too. But thanks for taking the time to care. It means a lot.

Free health care sounds nice. And that sucks about the acupuncture. Ever try going to a psychologist or therapy?
yeah, i've done a combination of meds and therapy....and then i did a combination of acupuncture and therapy.....the therapy seemed like nothing but a self indulgent waste of time to me.....but i figured i should give everything a try.
i've been seriously contemplating electro-shock therapy lately....cause i seem to be running out of options....at this point i'd glady trade some short term memory loss for some long term relief.

I hear you on the therapy dude, I personally thought it just made me feel even worse than I already did.
It sounds like you have it pretty bad man, I'm sorry to hear. My main problem with my depression is dealing with the physiological effects more than an actual sadness. How about you?

the therapy didn't make me feel worse....it just seemed to be completely unproductive.
for me it's hardly a feeling of sadness, it's more a anxiety that cements me where i am, a total lack of energy, aches and pains, insomnia, and being overly analytical about everything......and then every couple of days or so those things result in feelings of worthlessness and helplessness and i'll shed a few tears.

right now i'm working on getting an appointment to try some different meds....i got off the meds while i was doing acupuncture so i haven't been seen by a provider since may or june so they have to figure out where i'm going to fit i guess.....if i don't see results with that realtively soon i'll probably ask to be sent out of state for some good old fashioned brain electrocuting.

Well I hope you find something that works for you dude. I have dealt with this crap since my freshmen year of high school, but I always just dealt with it on my own. It wasn't until I moved across the country for grad school that the depression and especially the anxiety really manifested. Do you think the electrocution would really work?

it's really been a problem that i didn't talk about since i was in grade school...it took being institutionalized for a week following a suicide attempt when i was 22 to seek help with it.
electro shock is generally viewed as a pretty extreme type of treatment as it has some rather debilitating side effects in the short term....but it's also thought to be pretty effective....i don't know for certain if it would work....but like i said it seems like i'm running out of viable options.

Yea, sounds like the electro shock is at the very least worth a try.
And a suicide attempt? Sorry to hear that dude. One of my good friend's ended up committing suicide because of depression a couple years ago, and it totally shook up my life.

i found i don't have the stomach for it (had some very disturbing dreams involving passing through things and then being stuck in a room without doors and windows)....even before i got that low i always hated the idea on the grounds that i think it's selfish, rather cowardly, and totally against my religious beliefs.....one of my old friends hung himself in his parent's basement because of struggles he had with a meth addiction....suicide really isn't the way you want to go out.

I totally agree, it is not the way to go out. My friend sat in his car in his garage and left the car running and left a note in his lap for his parents to read. Depression can really hurt someone if its not controlled of treated.

your music taste is rather questionable - there are some great bands mixed in with some frighteningly bad ones you've listed in your profile (and i've personally never listened to nevershoutnever! but their name leads me to believe they probably stink). that being said, the threesome could still happen, but only if i get to pick the soundtrack. :-p
