I have clinical depresssion.
And I unfortunately have very damaged eye nerves from whatever (the doctors aren't sure). I see a special eye doctor every few months for him to keep track of my progress. If things go the way they think, I am going to be legally blind by 30. =/

Me too.
I need extensive work on my teeth in the back of my mouth. I have no money, but good dental insurance, still the lack of $ keeps me from fixing them. I haven't been to the doctors for a regular exam or whatever since I was 15. I'm probably dying from something and don't know what it is.
To those with actual serious medical issues, I'm sorry. I know mine doesn't even come close to any of yours, but this is what the thread is for. Good luck.

That's pretty much how I am. If I didn't have my contacts in, my nose would be touching my computer's screen, trying to read anything, let alone see a picture clearly.

also note, i was taking prescribed adderall 20-40 mg a day every day or every other day for 2 years and then abrubtly stopped. my doctor says it didn't hae anything to do with my anxiety, but i think that taking something addictive like that for 2 years and then have it all out of your system is gonna make your brain go crazy for a little while. anyone else agree?? it sucked but im doing alright now with no medication or anything exersize is key!

i've heard having kidney stones is 10 times worse than giving birth. the pain that comes with the stones is god awful but the procedure to laser them into tiny pieces isn't so bad. my sister had her gall bladder removed last month and i'd say we were in equal amounts of pain. i'm just thankful for anesthesia and vicodin.

It honestly sounded worse than I physically felt though. Going through it, I felt almost totally normal. I just wasn't allowed to do normal things like go outside, go to school, drive, etc because of the chance of a bleed out.
But things are much better now. I still have precautions to take to avoid getting sick as it happens a lot easier now without a spleen and a compromised immune system.

Thanks, man.
I thank you a lot for your compassion.
No problem, going through chemo at such a young age couldnt of been easy though.
Your probably one of the only people in this thread with a real medical problem.

I have depression and anxiety. It's quite lame, and unfortunately runs on both sides of my family, but I deal. Plus, the medication I'm on really helps.

what are you on? i've been on effexor, wellbutrin, zoloft, and seraquel (to offset the side effects of the zoloft)......the effexor was helpful with my first really bad bout......but nothing i've tried since then has been effective.....acupuncture did help for a few months though.

I am on lexapro right now. It was the first thing my doctor tried with me and it has worked amazingly well, so he keeps giving me it for free because I don't have health insurance. Unfortunately he can't give me anymore, and these meds are crazy expensive, so I might have to switch to some cheaper one soon.
And sorry to hear all those meds haven't worked for you dude. I know prescribing the right meds is really hit or miss for each person. Plus, how did the acupuncture work out for you? I never even heard of that as a way to treat depression.

I didn't even know people did inhalants anymore. That's so 1993.

i get free healthcare so i'm not to worried about price....my hospital doesn't like expensive medications and as a result refuses to prescribe them though.
the acupuncture was amazingly effective for like 3 months....i went from deep crippling depression to feeling great within 12 hours of the first treatment.....but the benefits were greatly reduced as time went by.....and since i was paying for that out of pocket i stopped going.

all jokes aside, go get them checked out, its better to get them early then get them late and find out they have spread throughout your body.

Free health care sounds nice. And that sucks about the acupuncture. Ever try going to a psychologist or therapy?
