The Get Up Kids were cool

Reggie and the Full Effect are merely ok

and New Found Glory are not good at all,

As long as they don't make it a point to have the synth in every song, it should be pretty cool.

They were never good though, so that doesn't prove anything.

They could finally have some good back up vocals for one thing, but other than that I think he could make some nice contributions to the writing.

As for the synth...I just don't think it would work if they tried to make every song like "Failure's Not Flattering" where the synth plays the most important part of the song. I should have rephrased my comment to something of that effect. Alot of bands have synths in their songs but don't have them overshadow the rest of the song.

True but NFG needs to ditch their singer and the fat guitar player and pretty much everyone else except James and they might stand a chance.

I think Reggie fucking owns man, but its cool.

Anyways, I think this move is interesting. Because, at least this will maybe make their next record a little different than their others. They really haven't progress too greatly as a band over the years.

I dont know, I am kinda disappointed. I love Reggie and the Full Effect, I just this doesnt interfere with another possible Reggie album.

NFG can't get any worse then they already are. It seems like this band exists as a hardcore retirment home. I mean with Chad being in Shai Hulud and James being in Coalesce, it's kind of sad. But where do you go from there really? How much more could you possible contribute to any giving genre then being in a band as profound asthose previously mentiond or even The Get Up Kids alone for that matter? I guess he feels it's time to make some real good money.

reggie's live show was awful, the whole common denominator thing, that just had everyone in the crowd weirded out. how can anyone complain about NFG's music (aside from jordan's voice), you can't help it, it's catchy

Reggie's live show is fucking awesome man and anyone who takes the common denominator / fluxuation thing seriously is a moron.
