Thrice has been my favorite band ever since I saw them at Chain Reaction in December '01 with Taken. And if you dont already have the DVD, get it, now. Seriously, it is probably one of, if not the best music DVD I've seen. What I wonder is why no critics reviewed it, as it is an incredible documentary, when they were praising Metallica's movie, and it wasnt even that good.

If you even KINDA like thrice, BUY THE DVD. It has so much on it. I would give just baout anything for them to release it in a dvd case though, so it could be a part of my collection. Not in this gay cd case.

DVD is DEFINITELY a must have. I wasn't sure I wanted it initially, just because of the money and cuz most music dvds blow, but this one is awesome.
And I can't get enough of Thrice. Their album is the only one I'm really anticipating like..HEAVILY at this point. There are lots of other albums I look forward to having, but not even remotely like this one.
After watching the DVD, I like every song of theirs I've ever heard. I mean, I liked nearly all of it before, but now it's intense loveage.

Apparently someone thought ill of this comment about "First Impressions." Just to reiterate....i LOVE Thrice. Sorry if you don't agree with my categorization of "FI," I like the CD alot actually. Thats the only thing I didn't really like on the DVD. They show them doing a different version live and Teppei was playing piano. It didn't even sound like the intro. That is one of my favorite Thrice songs. I love all the guitar in that song.

thrice = musical sex
there is no other way to describe it. its technical, the musicianship is just beyond great, the lyrics are intense, deep and just so original. Dustins voice is so good...his scream is even better...man. SO good.
I got into them right before IOS came out. A friend of mine that knows thrice personally gave me their record to give it a listen...i fell in absolute love with it...i cannot thank that person enough for giving me that cd. Its THE cd that made me stray away from my pop punk teen roots. And its lyrics have helped me through SO much. (deadbolt and betrayal is a symptom...wow)
Since then I have been lucky enough to see them 3 times and hang out with them all three times...once time i got to hang out with Dustin for an hour after the show and talk about life and religion...WOW is all i can say...he is the kindest fellow and real smart. Riley and Ed reek kindness and they are SO modest...all they could do was tahnk me for support and riley gave me his drum sticks. I have one of dustins guitar pics too now. Unfortunately I still havnt been able to properly talk to Teppei. I hope that soon happens.
THere is no where near enough love i can give them....they are the ultimate band.

The first time I heard them was around February 2001 when I got an Identity Crisis sampler from Hopeless/Subcity. I've been a huge fan ever since and i've seen them 21 times since then (my first Thrice shows are in my sig). The Deadbolt video shoot, I was there. Their Craig Kilborn appearance, I was there. Their Jimmy Kimmel appearance, I was there. Their Apple Store accoustic set on the DVD/CD, I was there. Their 2003 and 2004 Orange County Race For The Cure + Benefit Shows, I was there. Dustin is an amazing lyricist. Teppei is an amazing musician. The Breckenridge brothers hold down a great bass line. They are all super nice guys. These are the reasons why I love Thrice.
