Hey guys, first time I've posted here, been a long time user of the site but never plucked up the courage to actually get fully involved.
Anyhow, the reason I have is because I've come to use AP more and more in the last three weeks as I've started a new student radio show for the university of Durham, called New Noise. I get a lot of the new release info from AP but thought I'd maybe take it a step further. I'm playing bands that are just about to hit the UK on tour, have released a new album, or may just be brand new. I do feel that sometimes I may be missing out on certain bands, however, so here's why I posted. If anybody is interested, I wondered if you'd like to advise on any new bands you think deserve airplay. I'm fairly certain I can find all the decent tours (as there aren't a huge amount that arrive in the UK every month) but as I say, I'd hate to overlook a potentially amazing new band. They can be any category, and I'm happy to play a majority of American bands (hurtful to national music pride as it is! :D). I know there's a load of diverse musical tastes on this site and nobody seems to have any specific snobbery so please, anything you'd think is worth hearing, let me know!
And finally, I suppose I should plug the show, it's streamed online from purpleradio.co.uk, at 7pm GMT on Sunday...which is 1pm Central time, i think?
