I did not know that that was Craig Ehlo defending Jordan.

Yeah, the Mark Price era was pretty decent...I used to like that team as a whole...but, this is probably what makes that team the most memorable

ya my dad was at that game, he gets pissed whenever they show it on ESPN.

He also makes me change the channel whenever "The Drive" comes on too

It took me until I heard the play-by-play a few years back...I always assumed it was Price, but actually, it was that Gatorade commercial where they showed if Jordan had missed that got me to realize it was Ehlo.

uh thats exactly what the thread is about :

has ther EVER been a city in worse shape

one could argue that Cleveland was in pretty bad shape in the late 80'c/early 90's

I should have clarified that its not the overall record of failure but a specific point in time. The thread also implies how the teams will fare in the future. Every single sports team in Seattle not only stinks now but has not shown signs of improving much in the next few years. The Hawks and Mariners both face what looks like a few years of rebuilding respectively. They don't have a basketball team now, and I don't even know what to think about Washington U football.

Has the outlook of Cleveland sports ever looked that bad? I can't think of a time.

You missed San Diego - that city has to be up there for overall sports failure.

True, but at least you get to live in San Diego at the end of the day. Try perpetually loosing and then dealing with snow 6 months out of the year.

He's being a pretty good rep for Washington State, where we're good, but just not good enough.

Are you ready for the 3rd, no better way to start Pac-10 play than a rivalry game.

haha, yeah i looked it up. wikipedia also says that they changed the name of the university to Washington University in St. Louis in 1976 because people thought it was in Washington, i guess a few people are still confused. lol.

I don't know how the Huskies are doing, I've been too busy watching the Cougs play shitty second half after shitty second half.

wnba doesn't count, come on. sonics won one in 1979 and are now gone. mariners have never been. seahawks have been to 1 and lost.
Don't forget the Seattle Metropolitans, the first American team to win the Stanley Cup.

i actually think the Mariners might finish .500 this year.
They at least have a chance to get a respectable third place in the West, which will be an improvement.

That doesn't have much to do with sports, where no team in the four major professional sports has ever won a championship like a certain other city that knows how to choke in the postseason.

well washington u is a school for jews in st louis so....
It totally is - I don't know a single non-Jew that went there.
