anyone ever notice how almost every show/movie has the token fat best friend in it? if not the fat best friend, then just some bizarre overweight character that is most often times used as comic relief.

i don't want to make another thread because it sort of relates...but there's also that geeky best friend in a lot of movies/shows. girl/guy has geeky best friend. geeky best friend tries to help girl/guy get with hot girl/guy. it happens. doesn't work. girl/guy realises that best friend is soulmate. it's a recurring theme in a billion movies.

i dunno. this may be pointles ranting, but i'm just curious to see what people's input is on this.
