The Escape Engine Hit The Studio

The Escape Engine (www.theescapeengine.net) hit the studio yesterday for day-one of recording their sophomore release. They'll be in the studio for 31 days with producer Jesse Cannon, (A Static Lullaby, Dillinger Escape Plan, Race The Sun, Madison). They're talking with a few different labels to put out the record, including One Day Savior Recording. Stay tuned for tour details, as the guys will be hitting the road again on May 28th.

the escape engine are awesome. great guys and girl, real nice, and very talanted. it sucks thouigh because they prolly wont get big just because they dont have the "emo" look, and because they are all fat. its bullshit because they are better than so many huge bands.

dom and george are just SOOOOO fat. dumbass. look at bowling for soup. i think the fattest guitar player ever is in their band and theyre still huge.

Can someone please describe the "emo" look to me, I try so hard to fit into the trends, but I just can't seem to get it. Maybe shopping at Hollister would help. <Note the sarcasm>

Anyway, You are right they are ten times better than most bands that get huge. Take a look at musical history though and acts like Howlin' Wolf and My Bloody Valentine were never huge during their time, they got big way later. Right now the Escape Engine is far too talented to go on the radio because they would make so many big bands look like the talentless trash that they are.

Now I don't want to judge a band based on their looks, but Ian Mackaye and Joey Ramone were not the most aesthetically pleasing people to look at and they have done alright as such. Also no one in the Escape Engine is even fat. Amanda is beautiful, Aaron and George are pretty thin and if you were around to ever see Scratchkid, then you have to realize that Dom is pretty much half the man he used to be. This band has a really good shot at being big. They are all extremely nice, positive people. They are extremely intelligent and talented. Hell, they even have their own marketing device already with Mafia Melodic (The next Atticus or Made?)
