So, with Howard Dean saying he will not run for the DNC chair again, the post is open. Claire McCaskill was rumored to want the position but reports say she has no idea where the rumor started (http://primebuzz.kcstar.com/?q=node/15618) (http://primebuzz.kcstar.com/?q=node/15618%29). As Dean leaves, he is also seeking credit for his contribution to the Obama (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/12/us/politics/12web-nagourney.html) (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/12/us/politics/12web-nagourney.html%29). So, who chairs the party now with Dean's name being said in circles as a possible HHS secretary.

Which brings us to the GOP, a party entirely fucked from the ground up. Mike Duncan lost the election, lost six more senate seats, and numerous House seats. Reportedly, Steele (former Lt. Governor of Maryland) and Gingrich (former Speaker of the House) are in a fight for the chair. Looks like both the Hill, First Street, and South Capitol Street are going to be crazzzzzzzy.
