Love this band. Good thread.
Finally, a response! lol. Thanks. Shame how the singer died. I've heard a few versions, but I'm pretty sure it's confirmed he choked on his own vomit(from drinking)....

Like the dude from Drowning Pool?
Oh, Eric from "Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!" & "Tom Goes to the Mayor" was in this band.

Namedropping? It's not like I know him. It's just a funny fact / trivia.
you do it to every band in every thread like for some sort of cool credibility.

You are the definition of hypocrite.
i don't fucking name drop. do you see me sitting here posting pictures bragging how I am on tour with shitty bands in a shitty label's basement with overrated orgcore records on splatter vinyl? no. but you do.
its called promoting. if you had a band or a label or something creative worth buying you'd know what I mean.

I would have loved to see this band live. They must have been amazing.
let me guess you hung out with him and knew his family...
and say crap records put out all their discography and you got to go on tour with them because you are the king of underground music.
because you are the king of underground music.
I'm pretty sure you take the crown for that title, your highness.
i'm pretty sure you run threeoneg forums, so you are king elite. You make the elites in Halo 3 look like Fall Out Boy sell outs thats how underground you are.
I haven't been on those forums in over a year. :-d
Why are you so filled with hatred towards people? I have barely said anything about you, yet you take everything and turn it around on someone for a personal attack. It went from talking about a member of this band to my "shitty" label?
You SERIOUSLY need to talk to a shrink, or in the very least attend anger management.
I tired changing the subject back to the band, but you still weanted to argue.
Yo, Ink and Dagger is my shit.
if Ink and Dagger came out today, I think they would have been way more popular than what they were since that style is really catching on now.
I feel they don't get the love/recognition they deserve. Especially post their activeness. You see a lot of bands gain popularity/hype way after they were/are broken up (American Nightmare/GUTG, No Warning, Bear Vs Shark, At the Drive In, etc etc), I feel Ink & Dagger is better than all of those bands and should also be enjoyed by many, but I think their music is less accessible unless you are a record collector (elitist?) and know where to look.
That said, I am really trying to save up to collect the some of the rare colors of their pressings. Which I'm sure won't be easy to achieve in 2008 as most people that own said colors probably love the band as much as I do.

"I wonder why these guys never got the credit they deserved?"
Maybe (or no, probably) it's because Sean died so soon. Cause honestly, despite what some think, I feel they were already gaining footing.

I can dig it.

I don't think his death had anything to do with it. Albeit a tragic one, and a huge loss for a great band. I am pretty sure the band broke up while he was still alive, so... even then... why did they not garner the same hype like an American Nightmare/Wes Eisold or a Bear vs Shark/Marc Paffi, or an At The Drive In like these bands all did post their break up. Clearly are all 10x more popular/liked/hyped/sought out for now then when they were an active band. I put Ink & Dagger musically ahead of all those bands. Curious as to way kids haven't caught on yet, because people are really missing out.

not my collection. i wish. i guess they put out 5 of these box sets.
I don't know why more people aren't into this band. Funny thing is I went through an at the drive in phase in my music about 2 or 3 years ago and ended up finding out about ink & dagger in an online article that had I&D as an influence.
is that the boxset with the vial of blood?
I'm not really sure. I know it has the wooden stake, obviously as its in the picture, and I've heard it had other random vampire related things and drawings too, but I don't know if that one did.
i could have sworn i read some here the 5 sets came with a vial of a band members blood. that's how awesome those sets are
fuck, that is awesome. Over the past year I have listened to this band more than any other. I've still never heard Experiments In Nocturnal Sound and Energy though. I couldn't find it anywhere.
Edit: Once I posted this I searched for it and saw revHQ is still selling it.

Doesn't Eric (was the bassist) have some sort of popular comedy show now?

So is Geoff taking over vocals then for good? Or what's the deal with that?

Seems like they have a string of UK dates lined up...(Kerouac is supporting one of them, which is awesome. Wish I lived in the UK. )

NOT EXACTLY TRUE....after this tour Ink and Dagger will continue as a band under the new name CUTTHROAT TACTICS....recording a new record to be released sometime in 2011....line up is DON/JOSH/TERRY/CHRIS/GEOFF....
....that being said, this European tour will be the last time any Ink and Dagger songs will be played....

This sounds good.
Will they still play I&D tracks or entirely new songs altogether?
