My therapist suggested tonight that I get tested for it. What should I expect for those who have been tested/diagnosed with it?

the test I got was just simple reading comprehension, kind of like the reading section on the SATs only it was verbal I'm pretty sure
I don't have it but I apparently was pretty close

mine was a pretty thorough battery of tests for learning disabilities and ADD at the same time. I did it a really long time ago (middle school) but they had me do stuff with puzzles and Rorschach inkblot type stuff mostly. I vaguely remember a tiny bit of math and reading but I don't really think that made up much of anything when I did it.

It's not a big deal though, good luck with it, i hope it comes out the way you want. :)

i'm curious to see how many members have this, do you want to make a poll OP?

I bet a lot of the members on this fine site do. This age of instant information and gratification has only made the problem of ADHD worse.

I always thought it was due to my depression but lately I cannot concentrate on anything and I'm not depressed. I'm actually pretty happy with my life right now.

My girlfriend thinks I have this, but little does she know... I'm just fucking with her.

It's America, any and every child with any slight social issue or problem has ADHD or ADD. It's really just a scapegoat.

a lot of it is misdiagnosed. when i got tested they told me that if you had add or adhd, symptoms would have begun to form before the age of 7.

good luck with the test :)
