I don't make many threads and this probably won't get many replies, but this girl really appeals to the nerdy side of me. Whether you can dig the hyper-technical-prog-influenced-P-funk-jazz or just want to see and hear something truly impressive, this is an act for you.
Normally people playing instruments really fast don't maintain my interest for very long, but her music has a lot more depth and if you are interested in where jazz is going and what it has become in the modern era, I think she is a strong force. She has an album called Beyond Standard where she takes classic standards and puts a modern twist on them, cliche as that sounds. It's a refreshing listen and is something certifiably digable. If anyone can find her rendition of "My Favorite Things", give that a listen because I can't find it online but it's pretty decent.
Furthermore, if for nothing else, check her out because she's only 29 and has a very coy and playful spirit which is actually pretty hot in the context of her performances.
