Within the last week I became aware of the brilliance of this band. Not being an indiscriminate downloader, I'm wondering which of their albums I should start with.

I've only really heard the singles and the songs on myspace (plus Landing Feet First), but of those I like Devotion and Desire and Carry On the most.

my favorite album is the the acoustic one, but i'd recommend starting out with the self titled that came out in '05. : )

Yeah, what everyone else said. The acoustic EP is incredible. Definitely give it a listen after the gotten into the self-titled.

If you truly enjoy this band, you should start at the very beginning. Or Sirens and Condolences at least and then move forward to be able to appreciate what this band has done from album to album.

I would start with the Self-Titled.
Thats the one I like the best.
:-)

Also,
Another band you might like,
is The Sleeping.

self-titled for sure. and if you get the chance, you should definitely catch them live.

Start with Sirens and Condolences and work your way up their discography. Don't forget to check out their eps and split as well. I really like their self-titled, but I prefer Sirens and Condolences.

Yes, this.
S/T and Sirens are two of my favorite albums. TWW disappointed me, but they definitely redeemed themselves with Shudder.

I feel the same way about The Walking Wounded and Shudder.

I'd say start with TWW...it's their most solid CD....then go to acoustic, s/t, SaC, and then land at Shudder
