They make up half the CD's I need to buy come April 26th.
Both are good live, too. I saw Acceptance a couple days ago with Copeland, and I'm seeing Bleed the Dream on Monday, hopefully they're as good full band as they are acoustic, though I think it's pretty safe to assume that they probably are.

How in god's name are people liking Bleed the Dream? I listened to the first song and laughed because it was so bad. It's like Story of the Year except worse.

We like Bleed the Dream because it's what our personal tastes have acquired to. If you don't like it, then you don't. But don't dog us because of our personal and unique music tastes :)

I always hated story of the year. 95% of screamo makes my ears hurt from the terrible.

i never listened to bleed the dream before, but i like what i'm hearing on myspace.
and i fucking love acceptance. their new album will blow people away like hiroshima.
wait, that just kind of melted them where they stood....
well, you get the point.

The whole sing/scream thing, the way they do that. The first band I though of when I heard them was SOTY.

Honestly, there are a lot of bands that fall under the "whole sing/scream" thing. That's being very vague in your interpretation of Bleed the Dream. They are way more mult-facted than what you are giving them credit for :)

I'm saying that the way they do it sounds similar to me. Since you're pushing them so hard, I'll admit that I thought Who's Killing Who wasn't to bad.

Thanks for giving it a shot. I mean I understand if someone doesn't like something, but hey, it doesn't hurt to give a band multiple chances :)

Acceptance will dominate the world in a couple months. Think Yellowcard big!!! I've said it once and i'll say it a few more times. If you like this band go to shows now while they're playing in small venues. The kiddies are coming.....and then they'll be playing arenas.
Don't get me wrong i don't think it's a bad thing. I'm just saying go to shows now before all the 12 -14 year old girls run rampant on this band.
And then you're caught swaying in the mosh pit attaced to each other, instead of having a good time rockin' out.

you have a very jaded view of a genre. SOTY isnt even a good example of screamo(which is a stupid genre name), they are poppy with moments of energy. boy sets fire i think truly used singing/screaming in a way that evoked passion and you understand why screaming is neccesary, from what i have heard, there is a hell of a lot of passion in bleed the dream.

i loved story of the year when i first got ahold of their album. I dont care if people hate them now that their big or because they're screamo, i think that cd kicks ass. i havent been into it much lately, but none the less... good cd.
Acceptance is definately competing for the best cd of 05'. Phantoms is unbelievable, i'm sure they will blow up. Congrats to them.

bleed the dream is nothing new at all.. i wish bands thought more about being unique rather than how many albums they're going to sell because they sound like <insert band name here who sings/screams>. i listened thru the new album once and found myself skipping songs looking for something catchy. with that said they will be big just because of who is behind them.. kevin lyman. he'll continue to throw them bones until they're a household name. i know alot of people who rave about this cd, I just dont get it. Also wtf is up with Darren Doane these days? all of his music videos look the exact same and are in the exact same place he's filmed like every other video he's done.

I actually enjoyed it some. I'll admit when I first listened to it it seemed a little cliche, but it's not bad. I enjoy the song "Broken Wings" anyways.

See, someone else agrees. Every single band/artist as at least something original about them. If they don't then why not listen to the person they copied that is better? Bleed the dream has nothing original about them from they way they play their music or the lyrics, or the sound of the singers voice or something. You can't show me two bands that have all of those things completely in common that are both good.
