Patrick rocks and its cool to read just how much he has to say and how down to earth he is... definitely one of the nicest dudes I've ever met who just so happens to play in one of my flippin' fave bands ever

Why did he bring his girlfriend to the interview?
it was at a show and he went to the show with his girlfriend. i don't think he was about to say "hey, i'm going to go hang out with fall out boy and interview patrick, you stay out here for a while and keep the car warm, ok?"

Why did he bring his girlfriend to the interview? Why not theres no law against it, maybe she asked to go with him backstage to get to meet the bands.
That was a long interview but it was a good one to read.

Wow, that was a great interview. It was nice to hear Patrick's responses, and the great thing is that they were long and detailed.

great interview...now let the album be heard lol
my eyes hurt from reading all of those long paragraphs, which is awesome because i love interviews that go really in-depth like this one. so thumbs up to kent, now if only my eyesight would quit being blurry.

Here's what I liked best:
Kent: Okay, so we saw you last summer and you had songs called “I Liked You A Lot More Before You Became A Fucking Myspace Whore”, “We Don’t Take Hits, We Write Them”, and “Bitches and Talkers…”
Patrick: “Snitches and Talkers Get Stitches and Walkers”
Kent: Oh okay, well I saw the track list and they aren’t on there. Did you change the names…
Patrick: No, none of those made it.
Remember when everyone on these forums was like, "Yeah that Lawyers song is the MySpace song, they just changed the name. And this song used to be called this and that".
Wrong.

that was so fucking awesome. what a kick ass interview. that makes me happy. especially when patrick said this: You won’t see Fall Out Boy getting too stoked on ourselves because of that stuff. that is why i love fall out boy. that is why fall out boy will never turn into something they're not. they won't conform to mainstream or whatever you want to call it. they're just wonderful. and that's hella awesome they learned to play honorable mention. :D they make me happy. 14 days!! :D

That was a wonderful interview. Whereas we never really see any of Patrick's personality onstage (Pete does all the talking, etc.), reading that entire thing really showcases the kind of person he is: double guessing so many things, and always keeping all his bases covered (what with the whole "So if we didn’t care about what people wanted to hear or wanted to see, then we’d be pricks. We wouldn’t be worth seeing, not to jump to the conclusion that we are worth seeing." type things). It's not an insult or anything, it's just extremely interesting to me. He puts himself down a few times, too (" I have nothing to write about that’s worth writing about.").
It's good to know that he doesn't have a problem with the whole Pete Writes The Lyrics dynamic, and the contrast between the conception of Take This... and From Under... is really interesting.
Yeah, anyway. Great interview!

Yep, sounds like a pretty good guy. Joe was about the same when I talked to him about a year ago. It seems like Pete's the only guy with a little "attitude." Good interview!

Really good interview. Nice to see an interviewer that really knew what he was talking about, too (not meant to be a potshot at anyone but MTV).
